Alleyways

I ran through the twisted alleyways of the city, my lungs inviting the crisp night air in.

Almost out of breath.

The damp, moist brick walls felt as if they were closing in on me, becoming narrower as I flew through them.

I stumbled, my knees hitting the pavement, the gravel stung as it buried into my skin.

I picked myself up, wincing as I brushed myself off and started my flight once again.

I had to get away, as far as possible.

They were coming for me.
