I couldn’t believe I was really going back down to Cape Cod to get on another plane and go back. I tried calling the house a few times, but hung up before it rang. I couldn’t talk to her. I couldn’t believe she would do that! And with Jimmy! What, did she send the kids off so she could go behind my back to fuck my best friend?! I told her I would be home today...
My phone started to ring in my hand and I looked down to see June calling.
"Hello?" I growled angrily, squeezing the phone.
"Matt...Where are you? Did you get home yet?"
"Yes, and found you in bed with Jimmy."
"Matt, you need to know that it wasn’t me-"
"Stop fucking lying to me!" I screamed, breaking the phone in half. I threw it on the floor, speeding up to get down to the Cape to make the flight.
