Unexpected

Nick’s POV

I knew it was morning, because there was light coming in through the windows and the alarm on my watch was going off. I turned it off and tried to go back to sleep when I heard a door open.

The sound came from the direction of Cassie’s bathroom, so I shifted onto my stomach to get a better look. I was still tired but I swear I saw Cassie standing in the doorway to her bathroom.

“Cassie?”

I saw Cassie’s head shoot up and she closed the door again quickly.
Was this ever going to end?

Gabby’s POV

When I heard a door slam shut I groaned and rolled over directly onto Leslie who yelled at me:

“Get the HELL off!!!!”

I rolled off of Leslie and sat up rubbing my eyes.

“Gabby?”

I looked over to see nick sitting up clearly having just woken up too.

“Yeah”

“Good morning”

“Uh-huh”

I couldn’t help but yawn which caused Nick to yawn too.

“Did you hear a door slam?”

“Yeah…actually I heard a door open…and saw it slam shut”

“Okay…wait…what?”

“I think I saw Cassie standing in the doorway to the bathroom staring down at Kevin and when I said her name, her head shot up, she saw me, and slammed the door shut again…and then you woke-up”

“Oh. God she just needs to stop being scared, suck it up and talk to Kevin already. He obviously feels bad for whatever went down at the hospital…but there’s more to it”

“Scared? Why would she be scared?”

“I honestly don’t know”

Cassie’s POV

I sat down on the toilet and tried to calm down. I was SO glad that Kevin wasn’t awake. It was only nick…OH GREAT!

Nick saw me.

“What’s goin on?”

SHIT!!!!!!!!

Kevin’s POV

I was woken up, much to my protest, by Gabby talking LOUDLY to Nick. So I rolled over so that I was facing them.

“What’s goin on?”

Both Nick and Gabby looked over at me.

“Oh hey Kevin”

“Good morning Kevin!”

“Gabby your happiness is killing me”

“Oh…sorry”

I sat up and rubbed my eyes, stretched, and yawned. I sat with my back against the bathroom door so that when Cassie opened it I would fall in and there was nothing she could do to get away then. I would stay there for hours if I had to. Has if she could read my mind Gabby spoke:

“You can’t stay there forever you know? You have to eat, sleep, etc. etc. etc.”

“I can sleep here like last night, food can be brought to me and yeah I can manage”

“Yeah but Cassie can’t.”

“Huh?”

“Oh keep up Nick! Cassie has NO way to get to food or clothes. She can take a shower, bath, get water to drink, and go pee! But that’s it”

“Oh…crap…”

“Yeah”

“Do you think Cassie’s hungry?”

Cassie’s POV

I heard Nick’s random question which reminded me that my stomach was grumbling at me. I stood up and walked up to the door. I had to find a way to get food.

But how?

Suddenly an idea occurred to me.

I kicked the door…hard.

“What the FUCKING HELL!!!!!!!!”

“What the…”

“Holy Jonas!”

“OMG!!”

“What the H…!!!!”

I laughed at everyone’s remarks. But the smile turned to a frown has soon has I heard Kevin’s voice.

“Ca…Cassie?”

I took a deep breath.

It was now or never.

“I’m hungry”

“Oh…”

“Can someone bring me some food?”

“Um…”

I could tell Kevin didn’t want to talk about food, but at least I was talking to him.

I heard a muffled response from Leslie, Gabby, and people moving around in my room.

“Sure we can bring something up”

“Thank-you Gabby”

“Not so fast with the thanks”

“Huh????”

“We can bring the food up, but it’ll be up to Kevin if you get it or not”
