*Next Day*

Carlos POV

I’m so gonna win I thought

“Hello” I said

“At the next light, sound good?” Mara asked

“Kay” I said and closed the phone

Yeah I know you think it would be dangerous, but there’s not a lot of traffic. Our friends placed bets on who would win, I wasn’t feeling nervous though. What do I have to feel worried about anyway ?

*Xiomara POV*

I’m so gonna win. What he doesn’t know is that I have been racing against Phoenix for a while now and that I have gotten good. He doesn’t know what’s coming.

“Phoenix you there yet?” I asked

“Yeah, I just got here” she said

“Great watch you star pupil”

“Kick some ass chica”

“I will, love ya bye”

“Bye girl” I hung up my phone ans took a deep breathe

Almost there I thought

I stopped at the light and saw a red light perfect I thought

I put my sun glasses on, put my music on higher. Turned and looked at Carlos and I smirked.

Carlos and I hit the gas pedal waiting for the light to change.

1..2....3 and the light changed

I moved to the left and right gaining speed as I went. Made a sharp turn and then kept on going. My hair was moving around me and fast good thing I put my hair up in a pony tail. I hit 100mph by now and I slowed down some then pumped the gas once I saw that the light was turning red.

I’m gonna make it I thought.

I kept my eyes on the road not caring were Carlos was at he hasn’t passed me yet and I’m 2 minutes away.

I hit the gas pedal no way I was gonna lose I reached 200mph by now I can see the parking lot now.....andddddddddddd..........I’m here. Yeah I won! I turned the car and pressed the brakes hey gotta make a good entrance.

When I stepped out the car, Phoenix said “Yeah girl” and gave me a high 5

“Damn I didn’t know that you could drive like that” Xavier said

“ I had a great teacher” I said

“Damn straight” Phoenix said beaming

I was blasting the music by now dancing since I won. I saw Carlo’s car turn in and then stop

“Damn” Carlos said as turned off the car and got out

“Told you so” I said smirking

“Yeah, yeah”

“Hand it over”

“Here” he said while taking out his credit card

“Thank you” I said

I then walked over to my car turned the music down and then turned my car off and locked it

“Let’s go Phoenix”

“See yah sucka” she said as we both skipped into the mall

We shopped for 4 hours so now It was 3:00pm. We had so many bags that we could barely move.

Phoenix and I walked to my car and tried to put them all inside the trunk and they didn’t fit so we put the rest in the back seats. We climbed in blasted the music. I dropped Phoenix at her house then drove home.

“Time to get ready” Lydia said as I got into the house

“Okay” I said

“John, David” I screamed

“Yeah Mara?” David asked

“Can you bring these upstairs please?”

“Sure no problem” they both said

“Thanks you guys”

“Welcome” they said then walked upstairs to my room

After 4 hours of getting ready I was done. I went upstairs and put my phone and Itouch, and keys away I wouldn’t need them. I glanced at the clock and saw that I had 2 minutes I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled and then walked down the stairs.

I saw that the Carlos was waiting for me. “ You look beautiful Liebe”

“Thank you, you look sexy” I said while smiling

“Why thank you, I’ll wait for you inside”

“Okay” I said then he kissed me and walked away

A minute passed then Elena said “You ready to go in?”

“Yes” I said

“Cue the smoke” Elena said into the communication device

“Ladies and gentlemen. Senoras y Senores. I present to you the Lady of the evening Xiomara Oliveras. The doors opened and smoke blared as I stepped on each step. People were screaming and yelling the whole time.

A microphone was passed to me and I said “Thank you everyone for coming, you all are very close to me and I appreciate you all for coming and helping me celebrate my birthday.” I smiled then said
“Have a wonderful evening every one” and then handed the microphone back

I walked off the platform and made my rounds saying hi to everyone and thank you for coming after I was down I went and grabbed a pina colada. They were good too “Mara” Carlos sang into my ear as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

I laugh then said “Yeah baby”

“ I love you so much”

“Having fun?”

“Yeah, you”

“Aww that was so cliche”

“I try, wanna dance?” he said then laughed

“Sure lets go” as we passed the table I placed my drink on the table

We were grinding against each other having fun. 2 songs later we stopped and went back to the table since he food had come out. We ate drank and had little conversations when I gave the cue to go on stage. No one was looking on stage, we went behind the stage and changed.

We all had our outfits on similar but also different with silver converse. Our band is called Siempre.

Xiomara- Lead singer, Guitar

Phoenix- Bass, Back up singer

Violeta- Keyboard, Drums

I was only singing. Phoenix was playing bass and Violeta was playing the keyboard

We had plugged in all our instruments and Phoenix was gliding her hands back and forth in a slow beat. Then Violeta added the piano in a slow up beat tone. Then I started singing slowly and held on to the last note.

Glass hailed from the sky that night

That’s when everyone noticed and turned to listen

Violeta started to play 10 seconds later Phoenix started strumming 5 seconds later I started singing

When we finished we got a standing ovation we smiled and bowed then we got off the stage then we went and changed back into our clothes.

We ate and danced some more then it was time for our dance routine.

We changed then went to the dance floor the song changed in the middle of a song and we started our routine. The guys were behind us dancing we then moved to the left, right, forward. Then the girls kicked there leg up and slid to the floor as if they were falling the guys grabbed their hands and pulled them up.

The girls moved as if they were leaving the guys slid to the floor then grabbed their wrist and pulled them down. The guys then leaned forward and pushed them both up then grabbed the girls waist and dipped them then they both rolled on the floor and spined. Then the girls stood in front of the guys and pushed them back. The guys flip and jumped over each other. Then we spined each other and then the guys pulled the girls to them and then the song ended.

Everyone cheered, and applauded for us, We bowed and then left the dance floor. We all sat down had a drink and something to eat.

After another 30 minutes Tito “El bambino”, Daddy Yankee, Dj Flex, Eddy Lover,
Winsin y Yandel, Aventura, and La Factoria all sang as a little present for me.

Finally Carlos came on stage and said “ Good evening everyone”

“Good evening” everyone said back

“ I would like to sing a song and I’d like to dedicated it Xiomara. This is for you”

The band started to play

Everyone clapped and cheered, when Carlos got off the stage and walked over to me I kissed him and then hugged him when we pulled apart. He smiled and then wiped the tear away. He pulled me into a hug and then whispered “ I love you” I hugged him back and then whispered “I love you too”

When it turned 1:00am we were outside the house saying bye to everyone and thanking them for coming.

Carlos and I said night to the rents and then went upstairs to our room. We took our separate showers, brushed our teeth and then changed into our pajamas. We were laying down in bed then I turned off the light and then Carlos put his arm around my waist and pulled me close to him. “I love you Mara good night”

“I love you too Carlos good night” and with that I fell asleep
