You Don't Need Superpowers

Saige's POV

I stared blankly at the jet. It was so big. I was so small. And I'd never flown on a private aircraft before. Bill shoved me forward. "Hey!"

"Get moving," he said, laughing. I followed him up into the jet and he set his things down on the seat next to Bria. I pushed him into her.

"Bill, it's not nice to push." I smiled, skipping down the aisle to sit by Gustav.

"It's not nice to push people." Gustav said to me as I sat down.

"That was my point." I have awkward ways of proving my points. So does Charlotte. So we were in fifth grade, right? And she started swearing as we were walking home. YOu know how when you're younger, it's a big deal to swear? This was our conversation.

"Charlotte, don't swear. It's not fucking nice to fucking swear. Don't fucking swear, bitch!" And so on and so forth between us.

"Okay then. YOu ready to be home?"

"I honestly don't know," I mumbled, putting in my earphones. Why the fuck was that on my iPod? "Who put Beethoven on my iPod? Huh?" I yelled. Georg meekly raised his hand. "I don't like that olden time shit, alright?" Then, we heard a scream-ish laugh. Tom had grabbed Ann's ass. Bria and I immediately stood up. We knew what had to be done. We walked out into the aisle and grabbed our own butts.

"Does this feel weird to you, Saige? It doesn't feel weird to me."

"No, me neither. You were right, Ann. It doesn't feel weird at all." Ann just glared at us and we laughed. Diane and Charlotte were laugheing, and the rest of them were giving us questionable looks.

"Um what was-" Tom asked me.

"Well, when we were in fifth grade, was it? We were talking about how weird it felt when a guy grabs your butt, and Ann stood up, grabbed her butt and said, "It doesn't feel that weird." We were all like "Um, that's because it's you own hand grabbing your own butt."" Tom and Bill started laughing. Gutav just gave Ann a look and Georg fell out of his seat. How on earth do you fall out of a seat with arm rests?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hey, hey Saige. Wake up, we're here." Gustav whispered in my ear. I punched the seat with my fist and opened my eyes. I looked out the window. Home. There was beautiful snowbanks sitting on the sides of the runway, and a small airport below. Home. I never realized how wonderful it was until I'd missed it for a while.

"Welcome to the freezing wasteland!" Bria said, cheerily.

Once we'd landed, we gathered our things and headed into the airport. Small as it was, it was wonderful. Bria's mom had said she's hired someone she could trust to drive us back to my house. "Kim!" I exclaimed running over to her.

"Wat. Tokio Hotel?" she asked, cautiously.

"Yep. The one and only!" Ann said.

"Cool. Got your stuff, then?"

"Yep." I said, and we walked outside into the freezing air. We got in a limo, and Kim got in the drivers seat.

"YOur mom will like me?" Gustav asked.

"Yes, of course."

"Are you sure?"

"Honey, I know my own mother, thanks. She'll love you. My dad might be a little overbearing, and sometimes, it's really embarrassing, but you have to love him."

"Okay." He was nervous. I was nervous too.

"Ann?" Tom asked.

"They'll like you." she said, flatly.

"Even though I knocked you up?"

"Yep." Monotone child.

"Sweet."

"Here's my house." I said as we pulled up to a big green house.

"Woah."

"Nothing special, come on!"

I opened the door and ran down the porch, throwing open the door. "I'm home!" I yelled, and my mother looked up from the table.

"What are you doing home?" she asked me.

"Well..." I stalled as the rest of the troupe piled into the kitchen. "I'm getting married!" I squealed.

"To who?" I reached into the group and pulled out the man I was marrying.

"Mom, this is Gustav. Gustav, this is my mom." He shyly smiled, shaking hands with her. "We're going out for Congress pizza later, okay mom?"

"Okay, call when you do, I'll meet you there."

"Yeah, bye, I love you!" We shut the door leaving.
