You Don't Need Superpowers

Saige's POV

We were racing towards the church and BIll pushed me into a snowbank. "Not fair! Personal foul! I get a- a- a... a..." I stopped speaking, not knowing what I got.

"A kiss?" Gustav asked leaning and and kissing my lips. His were warm, and mine were probably freezing cold.

"Mmm, yeah. A kiss." I kissed him again, and he nibbled on my lower lip. I pulled away, laughing.

"What?"

"Nobody's ever bit my lip in a way that I liked it before." I chuckled. He pulled me back, and by this time, everyone was just staring at us. We were under the old Merrick's sign, and the light snowfall caught on my eyelashes.

"Can we get back to the 'going to the church' thing?" Ann asked, impatiently.

"I suppose." I said, following them.

Once we got to the church, we walked insode and headed up to the office. "Church..." BIll scoff-muttered.

"C'mon. Let's behave like... people our age for once..." I said, walking back to the pastors desk. "Um, we'd like to see what dates are free for a wedding?"

"Oh, sure. What month are you looking at?" The old man looked up and my eyes widened. "Pastor Maki?" I asked. When I'd left, he was retired.

"Oh, Saige! You're getting married?" I nodded, and he took me over to the date book.

"Um, yeah. So it's for February." He tutted, looking through.

"The only date we have for that would be.... the 29th. Nobody wants that day."

"Well, I do. Can you book it for us please?"

"Yes, I can. And I'll need to know if you're taking you're fiancee's last name or not, and his name, acttually."

"I'll be taking his last name, and his name is Gustav Schafer."

"Alrighty. You're all set. We'll have you meet with Berkely for your decorations and such, and it'll all be set in stone in no time.

"Fanks!" We waved goodbye and left.

"Hey, um, I'm gonna stop at the Zephyr. Anyone coming with?"

"The Zephyr?"

"The gas station."

They all agreed to come with me, and for the first time ever, the Little Dipper was open in the winter. "Well, I guess we'll be getting that ice cream after all, huh?" Bill asked.

"Yeah, I suppose," I mumbled, not eager for sugar in my system. Sugar does weird things with me.

We all got our ice cream and we went back to the hotel. "It's effing beautiful!" I smiled running around.

"Thanks. I suppose we'll be staying here until the wedding then?"

Sarah Palin impression again. "You Betcha!" I smiled impishly.
