You Don't Need Superpowers

"Uh, Ann?" I asked as I walked next to her, bringing a box down to the basement with her.

"Uh, yeah?" she mimicked me.

"I think you should take a pregnancy test, Hun,"

"Why?" she gave me a funny look.

"Uh, because we all think you might be pregnant," I said.

"I'll take one, I guess," she said, and at that moment, Tom appeared at the top of the stairs.

"Can I talk to you, Ann?" he said.

"Yeah, sure," He walked down the stairs and pulled her into a kiss. I must remind myself to go and gag.

"Charlotte! Get your butt over here!" I yelled.

"What?" she said.

"Uh, Ann might be pregnant, okay? And I'd appreciate if you'd like help us with her if she is. I have work tomorrow, so I can't always be there." I said.

"Yeah. Where's my bedroom?"

"Attic," I said.

"That's stupid!"

"You're stupid,"

"yeah, I suppose. Is it nice at least?"

"yeah, it's got carpeting and everything. We're paining everything this weekend."

"Sweet!" she ran up the stairs. The stars are really cool and in a spiral. I love this house a lot so far.

"Hey, baby, what floor are we on?"

"Three, I think. Wait, um, yeah, three. We have our own bedrooms, but we each have a king sized bed. " I smirked at him.

"I love your smirk, it's just so sexy," he said.

"I love you for the same reason," I smirked again.

"OHMYGHOD!" Ann came bounding up the stairs.

"Uh, what?" I asked.

"I'm fucking pregnant."

"Oh, my god!"

"I'm so exited! I have to call my dad, and-"

"Ann, let's not do that just yet. You're still 17, and we don't want Tom arrested."

"Oh, right," she said, slowing down a bit.

"Oh my god! I'm so exited! OH! Next week's your birthday!"

"Oh, my god! It is!" We jumped around all exited.

"I guess it was just a little easy for Ann to forget what she learned in sex ed."

"What's sex ed?" Tom asked.

"That would explain a lot," I mumbled. Ann laughed.

"No, really! What is it?"

"Sex education," I said, in a 'duh' voice.

"Oh, haha," eh said, embarrassed.
