No One Could Save Me but You

What Does This Have To Do With ME?!?!

"Hey, Raven," Missy said to her through the phone.

"Yeah?" Raven asked. Why was Missy calling her?

"Can you come over?" She asked, kindly.

"Yeah, I'll be there." Raven replied.

She hung up, Okay then. That's weird. Missy never wants me over. So Raven, though utterly confused, headed over to Bam's house. Missy was with the wedding planner, talking about invitations, and sadly, Raven knew where this was going.

"Hey Raven," Missy smiled, got up, and hugged her as if they were long time best friends.

"Hi," She said awkwardly.

"So we're planning the wedding," Missy started.

I knew it. I Goddamned knew she was going to have me design the stupid invitations. This sucks. No, "sucks" doesn't even touch on it. This fucking blows. Raven thought as she sat at her kitchen table. She was sketching out Missy & Bam kissing with a heartagram behind their heads. Raab sat down next to her.

"You look stressed."

"I am."

"Why?"

"How would you feel if you were making the invitation to your first love's wedding?" She asked rhetorically.

"But you have me," Raab said softly.

"I know I do Raab. It just pisses me off, that's all. But, I'm too nice of a person to say no."

Raab got up, and began to massage Raven's shoulders. "Settle down babe. It'll be fine."

Three days later, Raven handed Missy a painting for the invitations.

Missy once again, hugged her, "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Raven said awkwardly.

"There's two other things I'd like to ask of you though...if it isn't too much," She said.

Raven shoved her hands into the pockets of her jeans, "Yeah?"

"Well, first off, I know Bam has a photographer and everything in place, but I know you do photography as well..." Missy started.

"So you want me to photograph the wedding too, huh?" Raven asked.

Missy nodded. "Okay, I'll do it, now what's the other thing?"

"Would you like to be one of my bridesmaids?" Missy asked.

Her eyes looked hopeful. Raven couldn't exactly say no, because she knew if she did, Bam would make her anyway.

"I'd love to," She said, and hugged Missy.

"Well that's the strangest thing I've saw since... this morning," Novak said, entering the room.

"You two hugging, what gives?" Ryan asked plopping onto the couch.

"I asked her to be in my bridal party..." Missy said.

"And you said yes?" Bam asked, surprised.

"Why not? I've known you both just as long as anyone else."

Bam shrugged, "Cool. Have fun with that. Let's go guys."

"Raven," Raab asked cautiously.

She was bathing. Yes...bathing.

"Yeah babe?" She asked not bothering to open her eyes.

"What're you doing?" He asked slowly.

"Bathing." She replied.

"Can I join?"

She grinned, "Sure." So Raab hopped in the bathtub fully clothed.

"Not exactly what I meant," Raven laughed lightly.

"So what's going on?" Raab asked, a goofy grin planted on his adorable face.

"Nothing," She replied.

He looked at her, "Why aren't you as happy as usual?"

"I don't know."

"It's because of Bam and Missy getting married, isn't it?"

"I guess."

"Why does it matter so much, when--" He started.

"When I have you?" She asked.

"Yeah," Raab replied.

"I have no idea. I guess it's because from the time I was little I always thought that it'd be me marrying him," She replied.

Raab looked at Raven, realizing now that he would never quite have her like he wanted. He realized that she would always be in love with Bam, and that he should have realized it earlier.

"Raven," He said gently.
