[INDEFINITE HIATUS] Humans are led to believe that vampires aren't real. Dane knew this as a young boy growing up. He knew that for the protection of their kind, humans must be forced to stay ignorant about their existence.
The Prevention and Elimination of Segregated Terrestials Squads, or P.E.S.T.S., is a secret organization of humans that devotes its time in aiding growth of human ignorance about the vampire species. Although ultimately their cause is noble, the P.E.S.T.S. have a hard time seeing eye to eye with the vampire leaders. Obviously, hostilities have developed between the two.
Dane was a vampire. He was born a vampire.
Rachel was a human. She would always be human.
