What If There Is No Light At The End Of The Tunnel
Chapter 27
We kept running, even though the voices kept getting louder.
“Run ahead of me. I would rather they catch me then take you away.” Frankie yelled out to me. I shook my head no. I didn’t want to lose him.
“Don’t worry. Just find the small cabin. I’ll be there.”
I sighed and nodded. Then broke out my stride. Frankie fell back and took off in another direction.
I was alone.
I kept on trying to go forward. But the pain in my legs was starting to make its way to my whole body. I could barley concentrate. And I fell over a tree stump.
My leg surged with even more pain and I couldn’t get back up. I was down.
I just laid there in my pain. The police will find me soon. It was all over.
The voice were now over me. Asking me questions. I couldn’t answer. I wouldn’t answer. Then I felt hands pick me up, and carry me.
I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore. The pain was too much. I passed out.
