Blood On Her Hands.

Are you sane enough?

On the living room, Louise sat on Frank's lap while he made several faces.
She laughed. He laughed.
On several occasions, Frank would look at me when the thinks I'm lost in my thoughts.
But I saw it a few times.
I didn't miss the curiosity in his eyes.
The doubt that am I sane enough.
To be around them?
To be around my own daughter?
I can't exactly point my finger on it.
But there's something he doubts about me.
And whatever it is, it's not good.
I exaggerated a sigh and let my head fall back on the seat.
"Gee?"
I cocked my head to the left to see them staring at me.
"What Frank?"
"Are you...fine?"
I looked down to Louise.
Sadness were burning in her eyes.
Sadness that she probably doesn't know.
"Look Frank, I can't move on if you guys would watch me every now and then waiting for me to snap."
I closed my eyes along with a heavy sigh.
Then the phone rang.
"I'll go get it." Frank mumbled. "Hey munchkin, go to daddy. Fwankie's gonna get the phone."
Without opening my eyes, I reached for her.
Frank sat her on my lap and hurried away.
I breathed slowly.
"Daddy, you look tired."
I nodded slowly, dragging my head up and down.
Something warm started trickling on my cheeks.
Thin and soft.
Fragile.
I opened my eyes.
She was tracing my face with her small, brittle fingers.
Around my eyes, my nose.
"Mommy said, you are the most.." she gulped.
"beautiful thing she had next to me." I looked down.
"When did she said that?" When. Tell me.
She held her index finger and placed it to her temple.
Like she's thinking.
I chuckled.
She smiled. "Last night when she put me to bed."
I felt something strong clawing its way on the surface.
Something lethal, waiting to announce it's presence.
"Gerard, you might wanna talk to them."
I heard Frank's apologetic tone.
"Gerard! Gerard, are you okay dude?"
Sorry then changed to worry.
I felt something heavy was lifted from my lap.
And I felt rough hands on mine.
Something hard was placed on my hand.
And the rough hands wrapped them around it.
"Gerard..There's the phone."
Phone?
I held it up against my ears.
Just then, I felt something wet on my cheeks.
I blinked. But the tears were so thick that it blurred my vision.
I didn't command it to flow and escape me.
That part is reserved for nighttime.
"Mr. Way?"
"Yes?" It sounded like a whimper.
"Are you alright? Mr. Way?"
"Yes, I am." The tears are starting to sting my eyes.
"Gerard, what are you saying?"
"What? Nothing?" Nothing.
"Gerard! Talk!"
"I am talking you muppet!"
"Gerard!? Holy shit, what's happening to you..."
Huh? I tried to blink the tears away.
"Frank, what are you talking about?"
Then I heard what it sounded like, a dog choking.
"Daddy....!"
Then it's nothingness.

-Frank's POV-

"Gerard, you might wanna talk to them."
I walked to the living room.
They were still how they were when I left.
But Gerard was staring straight forward.
Like he's seeing something.
"Gerard! Gerard, are you okay dude?"
I took Louise from Gerard's lap and sat her next to him.
"Gerard..There's the phone."
I wrapped his fingers around the phone.
He looked at it.
Like thinking what is a phone.
He looked at me.
I nodded.
He held it to his ears.
A sound escaped his lips.
It's nothing like a word.
It's more of a stutter.
A cry of pain.
He mumbled something again.
I didn't understand.
Not because it was spoken soundlessly, but because it doesn't make sense.
Like 'ahagsuakks sairhfailoer'
"Gerard, what are you saying?"
I can sense the panic and worry on my voice.
I was screaming.
And he was crying.
Oh my god.
"Lahhhyunnsia."
"Gerard! Talk!" I can hear Louise's whimper of panic.
I never saw anyone cry like he is doing now.
It's heartbreaking.
He was breathing harshly.
His eyes.
I feel like gasping.
His eyes were wide open.
Honest...it scared me.
Tears were continuously escaping his eyes.
Me and Louise were panicking.
"Yaaaamthollokunsoonueekpae."
"Gerard!? Holy shit, what's happening to you..."
"Raaaaanplohutreyusolbkinnout."
Oh shit, this is scary.
"Daddy....!"
Louise screamed.
I held Gerard by his shoulders and shook him.
"Adaalouruoohaaaeoluui."
Then he fell on me.
We crashed on the floor.
"DUDE! WHAT THE FUCK!"
It was me.
Like a high-pitched squeal.
I pushed him off me.
The door swung open.
"Frank, we're ho—DUDE! HOLY SHIT!"
In no time, Ray and Mikey were pulling Gerard from me.
I sat on the floor while they laid Gerard's body on the couch.
"What happened to him?" Mikey shook my shoulders.
I felt my eyes were bulging.
"Dude, Frank you're shaking. What happened?"
Oh, am I?
I looked down.
My hands were shaking violently.
"Gerard. He was scary!"

I like being evil. <3
