What is Destiny Going to Do With Us?

Out!

“Claire, you have a lot of things you need to tell me!” Addie told me.
“What about?” I played dumb.
“Uh, maybe your date with garret?” she said in a ‘duh’ tone.
“In summary, it was an awful night. Garret and I are definitely not born to be friends.” I said.
“I need details, girl.”
I sighed heavily. The school’s bell rang. Thanks god. I thought.
“I’ll tell you later. Bye.”
“Alright.” She rolled her eyes.
----
“Claire!” pat hugged me tight. I smiled, returning the hug.
“Hi, patty!”
We had first class together.
“How did it go on your ‘date’?” he asked me, smiling devilish. I narrowed my eyes.
“Oh, pat you’re mean with me.” I said joking.
“No I’m not. I won that bet, no cheating.”
“Yeah, but you know that we hate each other.”
“That’s not true.” He replied. I quirked an eyebrow.
“Oh, really? Our ‘date’ is a full prove of it.”
“You haven’t told me about it, how would I know it was that bad?” he replied.
“We couldn’t talk without fight, and in the entire dinner, we talked like… I don’t know, less than ten times…” I lowered my voice level.
“Except… the last conversation…I think.” I said, most to myself. Pat looked at me confused.
“What? Would you mind to explain?”
I sighed.
“Well, we wouldn’t stop fighting, until the end that he apologized to me for it.” I said.
“And then?”
“And then nothing. Then I went to my house…it was all.” I whispered.
“Why are you sad?”
“I’m not.” I replied.
“Yes you are. Don’t tell me you liked it.” He sang.
I rolled my eyes.
“Pat you know it’s not true!” I spat angrily.

“Okay guys, silence please!” Mr. Schuler said, as he got inside the room.
Pat gave me a crooked smile. My jaw dropped. It wasn’t true what he had said.
“We’ll talk later.” I whispered annoyed.
Class began, and I tried to pay as much attention as possible, until a piece of paper flew onto my desk.
'What’s going on, cricket? I know you’re not right. :('
I took a pen, and began writing.
'I’m okay! There’s nothing wrong!'
I passed the paper to pat again. He wrote something, and gave it to me again.

'Oh, c’mon Claire, I know u like hell, and you’re not right! Its garret isn’t it? U like him and you know it!'

Anger invaded me.
“Pat that’s not true!” I shouted, gaining everyone’s attention.
My cheeks were burning.
“Claire, out.” Mr. Schuler said.
“but-“
“NOW!” I took my bag and books, giving pat a nasty look before walking out of class.

I threw my things to the floor, and sat down there against the lockers.
Someone stood next to me. I raised my head, it was garret.
Weird of him.
“Hi.” He said, sitting down next to me.
“Hey.”
“Out of class, huh? What happened?” he asked.
Garret was being incredibly normal, if we take all the times we talk, there’s no time we won’t fight.
“Meh, not much. I was talking with pat, and I forgot we weren’t the only ones there, so I screamed.”
“I see…and what were you talking about?” he asked.
My body tensed. I couldn’t tell garret we were talking about him.
“I uh…nothing important. Just…shit.” I said nervously.
He quirked an eyebrow.
“Right…”
“What?”
“What, what?” he replied.
“That ‘right’. What about it.” I asked.
“I just don’t think it was just nothing. Why don’t you tell me?”
“Because it was really nothing.”
“If it was really nothing you wouldn’t mind of telling me.”
“And? I just don’t want to tell you.”
“Because it’s something.” He continued.
“Sometimes something’s just nothing, and it’s really nothing!” I said annoyed.
“Then tell me!”
“I don’t want to!”
“WHY?”
“BECAUSE I JUST DON’T!” I yelled.
He took my head in his hands, and kissed me.
what the fuck?!
