Brendon has known of his mortality since he was young. He knows that his life has an expiration date that comes quicker than most. But he refuses to spend it in fear, constantly worrying about pressing his limits. And sometimes (a lot of the time) it pushes the people who care about him too far.

"But wouldn't you rather live?" Ryan asked Brendon.

"I am living," Brendon replied. "I don't know why everyone seems to think I'm not."
