Rainy Day

Two words, a simple apology slides off lips with the softest of accents. Lo siento, she murmurs, and it just rolls off her tongue in a hushed tone. Unforgiven, taken aback, she slides away from him, upturned eyes pleading as she backs away before leaving again, wrapped in anger and resentment, walking home through dirty city streets without an umbrella, regardless of the rain. Spanish lullabies sang under her breath, occasional spatters of English breaking in, writes everything that she feels in such a way that it's impossible to understand, you're unable to comprehend. She assures herself that it's okay, even as her tears complete the rainy day.
