"Who Would've Thought Getting Knocked Down Would End So Well?"

In your dreams

When I awoke the next morning, I was surprised to find myself lying next to a sleeping Billie Joe. I thought back to the events of last night and smiled.

* Last night *

Billie Joe looked over at me with a devlish grin.

"Where were we?"

As he said that, the front door shot open.

"Hellooooooo? Anybody hoooooome?"

It was Drew and his impeccable timing, as usual. He came into the living room to see Billie Joe sitting on the floor and me struggling to climb out of his lap. On top of that, we were still covered in food.

"Amelia, I never knew you had a food fetish. Mixing food with sex - hot!" Drew winked at us knowing that he had interrupted something, but at the same time not making an effort to leave us alone.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Whatever."

Billie Joe looked at me. "Maybe we should clean ourselves up. The noodles are drying and getting stuck in my hair." He started picking noodles out of his hair and off his neck. I couldn't help but laugh at him.

"Uh, no offence babe, but I think you should take a look in the mirror before YOU start laughing at ME."

Billie Joe was right. I was a mess. My hair was filled with tofu and peanuts and my t-shirt clung to my body, held in place by the sauce it had taken me so long to prepare. I couldn't help but stand there shaking my head. In the meantime, Drew had gotten his camera out and began taking pictures that we eventually started posing for.

"I guess we should clean up" I said, finally agreeing with Billie Joe.

"Hey, Billie Joe, do you want to borrow some of my clothes? I bet you'd fit into them." I tried to look innocent, as though I was just trying to help.

"Hey, don't think I won't cover you in sauce again" he threatened.

"I'll lend you some clothes." I forgot that Drew was still standing there.

"Hey, thanks man." Drew turned to leave and I made a face at Billie Joe. He looked at me questioningly. "What?"

"You'll see."

A few minutes later, Drew came back with clothes for Billie Joe to wear and he realized why I had made a face at him. Drew's clothes were not exactly Billie Joe's style, to put it mildly. Out of courtesy, Billie Joe put on the hideous, brightly coloured Hawaiian shirt and red bermudas. Drew knew that I wasn't a big fan of his clothing so I started to laugh before he could even leave the room. Five minutes later I was still laughing and wiping the tears from my eyes. I walked to my room to change, laughing all the way. When I came back, Billie Joe was lying on the couch, watching television.

"I don't know why you were laughing, I look pretty hot in this. In fact, maybe I'll dress like this all the time."

"Now there's something I won't laugh about" I teased. "Any room for me over there on the couch?" As I was asking him, I walked over to the couch. I settled down in front of him and he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

"Forget dinner, this is my idea of dessert, and dessert is ALWAYS the best part." Billie Joe was so cute when he wanted to be.

We watched a movie on tv, some 50's horror about killer mosquitoes or something. "I can't believe you didn't try to make a move during the entire length of this lame-ass movie. I'm impressed." I continued to tease Billie Joe and got no response. I turned to look at him and he was asleep.

"Oh, that's why." I snuggled against Billie Joe, closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment.

* This morning *

I decided to enjoy the moment a while longer so I closed my eyes and went back to sleep in Billie Joe's arms.
