"I just need you to understand that," I continued. "If you left- I would be that way again. I never want to feel the way I felt for that time period again."

"Okay, okay," he whispered.

I laid down next to him and looked up at the ceiling with a smile, still tightly gripping onto his hand. "I think you're my best friend," I stated.

It was silent before he unexpecedly said, "I think I like you."

"What?"

"He looked at me and repeated, "I think I like you."

I turned pink. "Well... I think I just might like you too. But for now, maybe we just just try and get through our stuff, then we can go have fun."

"I think you just might be right."

I smiled and looked at Ace, who was looking at me before I broke out giggling.

"Are you laughing at me?"

"No- just laughing," I giggled.

He smirked before breaking out laughing himself until we both turned our heads to the ceiling, blankly observing the texture of it as we laughed.
