Tell Me How You Love Me Now

The class finally ended and I hurriedly put all my books in my bag. I was about to walk to the door when I heard Luke call me.

“Kay Leigh” he called out

“Yes?” I turned around to face him

“Uh, in case you don’t have anyone to eat with during lunch, you can hang with me and my friends” he offered

“Oh, uhh… thanks for the offer” I tell him “But some people offered me to stay with them already”

“Ohh, really? That’s too bad. I would have loved to have your company” he said with an obviously disappointed voice

“Sorry, but they asked me first but we can hang out at other times if you like” I say to make him feel better

“Yeah sure!” his voice became brighter

“So, I better go now” I say as I walk away

“Okay then, see you around”

I turn around and walked out the door. I find Jersey and the others standing outside.

“Hello?” I tell the five of them

“I cannot believe you were talking to Luke.” Cassadee said with awe

“Uh, why?”

“He never talks to girls. Well, at least he never talks to girls first. Girls usually do the talking” Alex said

“Maybe he’s just being friendly because I am new”

“Oh, no of course not. I think it’s because it’s you. He doesn’t talk to anyone except his friends and I heard that he offered you to stay with them right?” Jersey asked

“Yeah, but I denied because I am supposed to be with you guys”

“Wow, you rejected the famous Luke” Mike said

“Why? What’s with him anyway?” I ask

Why are they so shocked that I was talking to him and that he was talking to me?

“Come here” Cassadee dragged me and walked somewhere. The others followed us.

We halted and we stood in front of a glass cabinet.

“That’s Luke” Cassadee pointed at all the trophies and pictures in the cabinet.

“He’s a basketball player?” I asked curiously

“Not just a basketball player, but the star player of this school” Jersey said

“And the most famous person here” Alex added

“Most of all, he is the ultimate crush of every girl around here” Cassadee whispered

“Oh” I mouthed, not knowing what else to say

“And that’s why it’s a big thing that he talked to you’ Cassadee finished and turned to me

“I don’t know why all of you are so pumped up about this. I don’t think he’s really interested to a girl like her. She’s not even that pretty” Elliot suddenly said then looked at me

“That’s harsh man” Alex said

“Considering that Kay Leigh is good looking” Jersey muttered

“Telling that to a girl is really inhumane” Mike pointed out

“Yeah, that’s a bad thing to say to a girl Elliot” Cassadee whispered

“That’s only my opinion” Elliot said as he blankly looked at me

“Well, keep your opinions to yourself if you’ve got nothing good to spit out your useless mouth” I say a little pissed.

He is so outwardly cruel to me. All he does is throw criticisms straight at me.

“Whatever” he spitted back

“I have to go to my next class and I don’t want to be late just because of you” I shot at him then turned around.

I am so pissed now. He is the rudest man I have ever met in my entire life. What does he have against me anyway! I slouch on my chair as the class started again. Okay, I only have twenty minutes left to stay in this cursed classroom until the lunch bell rings. I just have to be more patient. I tapped my pen softly on the table as I watch the second hand of the clock tick. I figured that staring at the clock wouldn’t help with my boredom so I decided to daydream yet again.

I vaguely hear the bell ring so I was cut off with whatever I was thinking about. I immediately stood up and proceeded to the canteen. Oh, yeah, I don’t know where the canteen is and I stopped on my tracks. How am I supposed to get there?

“Lost?” I hear a familiar voice say to me

I turned around and saw Luke, smiling brightly. Awww, his smile is just so perfect. I really think I have a crush on him.

“Well… I think I am” I smile back to him as he walked nearer to me

“Let me lead you to the canteen” he said offering his hand to me

“Sure then” I smile wider and took his hand.

Whoa, it was soft and gentle. It’s not like all other guys’ hands that are so rough.

“So… you don’t really know your way around here yet huh?” he asked and attempted to make small talk with me

“Uhm… yup. It’s my first day so I am still taking it all in’ I tell him

“If you don’t mind then… Can I… take you to a tour around here?” he asked looking down at his feet and never even glancing at me.

I look at him with a very HUGE smile on my face. Is he really offering me to go around school with him? That means we are going to spend quite a long time together since this school isn’t exactly what I call a “small” school. It is fairly big. Oh, what should I say? Should I say yes? Will that show that I have a crush on him?

“Sure” I smile to him, not caring if he thinks that I am obsessed with him or something.

He was the one who offered anyway. He finally looked up to me with bright eyes

“Really? Okay then! We can start on Friday” he beamed

“Alright. Friday it is” I said cheerfully as we finally enter the canteen

‘Well, I guess you’ll have to go to your friends now?” he said while I scanned the room for any sign of Alex and the guys

“Yeahp, if I find them” I whisper

“If you don’t find them, you can always sit with me and my friends” he said as he pointed to a table full of guys and girls who looked like sluts. I don’t think I would want to sit on that table with all those girls. Maybe if they weren’t there, I would consider it . I am not the kind of girl who would want to sit with those kinds of girl friends. I would much rather have unpopular friends than have plastic friends to be honest.
