It is now exactly one pm and Diane has been bugging me to stay with them, thanks to Elliot. What the hell is up with him? I hear the doorbell ring and I swiftly stood up and ran to the front door.
As soon as I open the door, I see Luke’s cute face smiling up to me. I couldn’t help but smile back.
“Hey!” I greeted
“As I promised, I arrived at one sharp” he smiled and then gave me one rose
“Aww, thanks Luke” I said smelling the flower “Come in first” I opened the door wider so he could come in
“Hi there” I hear Luke say to someone
I peeked and I saw him with Diane. Ohh, how cute. I glanced around the room and the only thing not in place is, of course, Elliot. He was literally shooting daggers at Luke.
Does he have anything against him?
“You’re not supposed to go out today Kay Leigh. You have to help me with Diane you remember? You did promise mo—“
I cut him off
“I’ll be out in just a few hours, I am sure you can manage. I mean, Diane isn’t heavy work after all” I tried to say as nicely as I could
“I still think it’s not a good ide—“
“Just… give me this one time Elliot. Please” I whisper to him
He looked at me and then his face softened.
“Fine, but only until three” he muttered
“What? That means we only have like, two hours! That’s unfair!” I hissed to him
Good thing Diane and Luke were busy playing around so they couldn’t hear our little conversation
“Well, how much do you both need anyway? You guys are just eating right?” he said blankly
“Yeah… but…” I drifted off. I wanted to spend more time with Luke and get to know him more. “Okay, until five?” I negotiated
“Nope”
“Oh, come on Elliot! I know I promised your mom to help baby sit but give me a break!” I whined
“Three thirty” he said
“Five” I insisted
“Four”
“Four thirty?” I pleaded now
“Fine, four thirty it is” he finally agreed
I cannot believe I just bargained with Elliot.
“Yes!” I exclaimed then stood up to drag Luke out of the house
“We have to go now! Bye guys!” I announced hurriedly dragging Luke’s arm then
went straight out the house.
“What’s up?” Luke asked as we ate
“Okay, I am so sorry, but I can only stay until four thirty. I have to be home that time to help baby sit Diane” I explained to him
“Oh really? You’ll be baby sitting Diane? She’s really cute” he muttered happily
“Yeah she is. I am in love with that little girl” I smile to him
“It’s sad that we have to end at four thirty. I was hoping to spend time with you the whole day” he said as we ate
“Sorry, but I did make a promise to their mom”
“Oh, wait, I have an idea” he suddenly said with sparkling eyes
“What?” I ask curiously
