When I finally gained enough composure, I slowly walked to the house and opened the door. This time, I was welcomed by a small little girl holding chocolates. She was running aimlessly and she bumped into me
“Hey there little one” I smile to her and scooted down to her eye level
“Hi!” she greeted and flashed me an adorable smile
This made me smile wider. I am an only child and I always dreamed of having a little sister to take care of.
“What do you have there?” I ask her, pointing to the chocolates she was holding
“Chocolates! You want?” she said offering me some
“Nah, you can have it. I know you love chocolates” I beam to her
“You’re nice, I like you” she said with the cutest voice I have ever heard
“Aww thanks! You’re really cute” I say as I lightly pinched her right cheek
“Oh! I see you’ve met Diane already!’ Beth said “She’s one of our children. We actually have two. One is the same age as you, his name is Elliot and this is Diane, she’s five” she continued
“Oh.” I nodded while still looking at Diane. She was so cute
“Elliot will not be here until tomorrow night though. He’s out of town with his friends.” Diane told me
“Tomorrow night is the night before classes resume right?” I asked Beth
“Yes. He calls it taking the most he could get from his free days until school started sort if thing” Beth said and laughed a bit
“You’re gonna like my brother. He’s really fun!” Diane cheered
“Oh really?”
“Yeahp!”
“Alright, I’d love to meet him then” I smile to her and stood up
“Dear, you want some cookies?” Beth offered me the tray she was holding a while ago
“Oh no it’s—“
“Here! I helped mom bake this!” Diane said as she handed me a cookie
“Oh, Okay then. I’ll try it” I said as I took the cookie she was offering me
I bit it and it wasn’t bad at all. It was actually delicious.
“This is good” I mumble as I chew
“Yay! She likes the cookies I baked!” Diane jumped around
I couldn’t help but laugh at her cuteness.
“I guess Diane found a new playmate already” I hear Carl say as he descended from upstairs
“Oh, Kay Leigh, I already put your luggage in the room you’re going to stay in. it’s the guest room. It’s the room farthest from the stairs.
“I’ll bring you there!” I felt Diane’s hand reach for mine. I put my hand a little lower so she could reach me
“Alright then Diane can bring you there” Carl chuckled as Diane tugged me upstairs

So… can anyone guess when Elliot will turn up? Ahahha! I am planning on setting up the mood of the story first so he can’t just appear like that. Be patient for me please? Sorry for the slow updates, but as I said before, I am trying to work on my William story for now.
