I must say, I am excited to spend more time with Luke. I never really get to talk to him so much and this is my chance. I waved at him as I walk in the gym. Of course he looked shocked
“Hi!” he smiled to me, obviously surprised
“Hey, I know you didn’t expect this but since you can’t spend time with me until seven tonight, how about I hang around and wait up for you? I brought food” said shyly
“Really? Oh! I am hungry!” he exclaimed
“Here. Beth cooked it for our dinner. I brought some for the two of us. We can eat it during your break”
“That’s now. Let’s go. I am hungry” he grabbed my arm and led me to the bleachers
“Whoa there man. You actually have real food. Maybe I should get a girlfriend to do those stuff for me” A random guy shouted at us
“Take a hike Brian” Luke shouted
“They are really… friendly” I mumble
“They are really nice. They just like joking around” Luke muttered as he opened the container with the pasta “Wow, this looks good.” He took a spoonful “And it is good!” he said while chewing
“Really? Well, I guess I’ll be eating also” I say. Grabbing a fork
“Oh, here, I’ll feed you” he said, offering me with his fork
“Oh, okay” I smiled shyly and ate the pasta on the fork
“Yihee, I can see lovebirds hanging around the gym!” The Jason guy from before shouted
“We want pasta too!” another guy yelled
“Shut up man!” Luke shouted at them
“That’s fine.” I tell Luke “Hey guys, I still have extra here, you can have it’ I yell out to them, showing them the container of pasta that I am supposed to eat
“Oh yeah! Thanks!” one guy approached me and grabbed the container fast
“Isn’t that for you?’ Luke asked
“Oh, I am not that hungry anyway. And, I wouldn’t want them to miss Beth’s pasta. It’ll be evil of me to do that”
He smiled weakly at me “here, we can share if you want” he said, offering me his pasta
“Oh no, that’s for you”
“I want us to share.” He said, giving me the fork
“Fine then” I gave in and we both ate silently.
Being with Luke isn’t bad as I thought it would be. It’s not hard to get along with him at all. I might just divert my feelings I had for Elliot to him.
Their practice eventually ended and Luke drove me back to my house after hanging out in the gym for quite a long time. I think we left school around eight thirty.
“Thanks for taking the initiative of being with me, I appreciate it” he told me as he pulled over in front of the house
“Sure thing. I mean, you have been lying just to spend more time with me right?” I joked.
I find myself always joking around whenever I am with Luke. It is weird for me to be a witty person but I guess my hilariousness comes out when I am with Luke.
“You are one funny girl Kay” he laughed
“I am glad I make you laugh”
“You just don’t make me laugh… you make me extremely happy” he said, leaning closer to me
I bit my lips and looked at him. He looks so sincere and honest. He isn’t bad looking too. He has the looks.
He smirked at me and closed the gap between us by kissing me softly on the lips. I shut my eyes and willingly kissed back. He held my face and I absentmindedly wrapped my hand around his torso to bring him nearer to me. We both pulled away and all I can see from him is pure happiness. He put his forehead against mine and all we did was stare at each other. He is such a sweet guy.
“I guess I have to let you go now’ he mumbled after a few minutes
“Yes, I think”
“I’ll call you then” he said, pulling away and sitting back on his chair
“I’ll be answering” I told him while opening the door
He waved at me and I turned around to enter the house. I looked back and smiled to him. I felt happy when I entered the house. I have never felt this kind of feeling. It is definitely different from any other feeling I had. Luke makes me feel good about myself. I might really fall for him if given enough time.
“You had fun with Luke?’ I hear Diane ask me from the living room
I blushed seeing Diane and Elliot sitting on the couch, clearly seeing my little happy face when I entered the house
“Ah, yes. Where’s Beth?’ I asked, changing the subject
“She’s asleep. It’s late you know” Elliot unrepentantly answered my question
“Oh” was all I could say
I pursed my lips and proceeded to walk upstairs.
“Did you have fun?’ I jumped when I heard Elliot ask me.
He has never asked me anything as personal as that. As I said before, we have only been civil with each other nothing more than that.
“Oh, uhm, yes, I had fun” I answered weakly
“Okay then.” Was what he said
I look at him and saw that he went back to watching TV already. I sigh and continued going up. That was strange. Is he talking to me in a friendly way now? Agh. He is so confusing!
