Luke continued to hang with us during all band practices. I am thankful that Eliot hasn’t been so brutal to him. He acts like a snob but that’s all there is. I mean, even if he tries to be mean to Luke, he knows that I will stop him and get pissed at him. I am sure he wouldn’t want that to happen.
“What do you think about that song?” Cass asked me after they played it
“I think it’s perfect already. Don’t change anything anymore. You have reached its perfection!” I cheered
“Yup, it sounds better now” Luke added
“Okay then. That reassures us” Alex smiled
“I guess practice ends now. It’s Christmas tomorrow and I think I need to help my parents set up stuff for Christmas eve. My relatives are coming over so we will have a big dinner” Cass said
“Oh, really? But we are free all day. Cant you like, go and help them around five?” Alex asked
“Let’s all hang out” Mike said
“Pre-Christmas celebration?” I asked
‘Yeah! Come on!” Mike urged
“That sounds nice. Fine. Let’s do this. But what are we gonna do?” Cass said
“Since a lot of stores are closed, what about a movie marathon?” Alex suggested
“That sounds nice” Luke said
“Let’s do it then. I’ll grab the movies upstairs” I announce, standing up
“I’ll get some food” Elliot said as soon as I stood up
“Okay, we’ll be here” Cass had her smirk on her face again
I was about to walk to the door when Luke caught my hand
“You need any help?” he asked
“Nope, I’ll be fine. I’ll just get the DVD’s and I’ll be right back” I told him and kissed him on the cheek
“Alright” he smiled up to me and let go
I walked out the basement and found Elliot in the kitchen. I walked to the living room and opened the DVD cabinet to get all of them. I gave up bringing all of them seeing that I can’t carry everything downstairs. I’ll surely be the one to bring them back up here after watching.
“Now… what to get” I whispered to myself
“You’d want to try some Christmas movies” I jumped when I hear Elliot’s voice
“Hey. You done with the food?”
“Yeah. I brought all of it down already. You’re the only one they are waiting for. I just got some water for me” he said walking in the living room
“Oh. So… I think this is good enough.” I said, carrying a bunch of DVD’s on my hands
“Let me help you” he chuckled after seeing me struggle with all the DVD’s
“Thanks” I mumble “So, you’re being nice again?” I ask him while we both walk along the hallway
“I am always nice”
“Not always”
“Well, maybe I am nice whenever I feel like it”
“Seems like you always don’t feel like being nice whenever Luke’s around though” I said
“He’s just unlucky that he catches my mood swings”
“Ah! So you admit it! You have mood swings!” I accused
“No I didn’t!” he denied
“You just said it Elliot!” I laughed
“Whatever!” he yelled as he opened the door to the basement
“I caught you and you know it!” I said jokingly and walked in the basement
Luke immediately approached me and got the DVD’s on my hands as soon as I entered.
“Thanks” I smiled
We all settled down, with Cass, Mike and Alex on the couch. Okay, don’t they know that it would be awkward for me, Luke and Elliot to all sit beside each other on the floor? I gave Cass a look and she thankfully got it.
“I’ll sit here” she said, transferring to the floor.
I let out a sigh of relief. It’s better to be beside Cass than Elliot. Elliot sat on the couch and we all sat down for the movie already. I sat in between Cass and Luke with Luke sitting at my right. After just a few minutes of the movie, I already felt sleepy. I think I just got four hours of sleep last night. I feel so tired. Just as I feel my eyes close, I feel a warm hand steer my head on something soft.
“Put your head on my shoulder” I hear Luke’s voice whisper to me
“Okay” I said softly and settled my head on his shoulder. I feel so sleepy that I could care less on how or where I slept as long as I get my sleep.
“What do you think about that song?” Cass asked me after they played it
