An arranged Marriage...TO THIS JERK!

It was so weird to think about what ad just happened to me. I mean I didn't even think my brain could rack up this much drama all in a few hours. First Aiden bursts into my room and starts barking off orders at me about leaving for school now and the I'm not leaving his pref rial vision or some crap like that. Then all morning he wouldn't talk to me as we get to school then argue when we do. He was such a spaz sometimes! But the weirdest part was what happened next. I mean it's still hard to think about let me explain.

"Hey Vikky can I talk to you?"

I glanced away from arguing with Mr. Thinks-he's-the-greatest-thing-since-the-internet and turned my gaze to the owner of that not so familiar voice. It was Jeff. Weird, even though I did talk to him before but e never really said much just went along with our random game of Truth or Dare. He didn't bug out or anything when he was forced to do really questionable dares or anything but he also wasn't enthusiastic about it either. He had this weird lazy air around him. Like he owned everything without really owning everything. It was weird. But anyways besides that sorry about my random rambling, but anyways it left a little question with his unanswered one already.

What did he need to talk to me about?!

"Uhhhh sure Jeff...what's up?" I asked not to sure what was going on.

I mean it wasn't like I was expecting much from him or anything seeing as how he was Aiden's friend and all, but with the look of surprise evident on even Aiden's face I was entitled to feel a little weird. This guy had rarely ever said anything to me and now he suddenly had something to talk to me about.

The weird part was he wasn't even looking at me. His eyes were glued down to his shoes like they were the most interesting things around him right now. His hands were shoved into his pockets making his shoulders hunch up slightly. To be honest he looked really cute. Like a little kid who wanted to ask for a cookie from the cookie jar before dinner.

"Uhhh sure Jeff...What's up?" I asked

His next movements were the cutest thing in the world. His head moved up slightly, his big brown pretty eyes locked onto mine as he peeked towards me from under his shaggy brown hair. He bit his bottom lip first then glanced around quickly at our friends surrounding us, then slowly pointed with one of his hands slightly like he wasn't sure if he would get into trouble for his actions as he spoke his next words.

"Come on it'll be real quick."

He put his hand back into his pocket and started walking making me have to follow after him. This was so completely weird. I mean what couldn't Jeff say in front of everyone else.

"Jeff?" Aiden's voice called out sounding panicked

I turned back to see Aiden staring at his friend like he was a lost puppy. My heart did a flip-flop seeing that lost look on his face. Sometimes Aiden did have his strong points. I was pulled back to reality by Jeff's voice who was now looking back at Aiden while uncoiling himself from his slouched posture.

"Hold up a minute I just wanna talk to Vikky for a minute...be right back." He had a cool lazy smile that reminded me of someone just waking up.

Jeff turned back around and continued walking with me close at him toes. I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous especially now that Jeff was standing at full height. A minute ago he looked like a cute little animal that you would want to lock up if a room and hug forever, but now he stood tall and towering. Like I said before he looked like he owned everything without actually owning anything at all. He stopped a bit away from the group near a few lockers that were right next to a bunch of halls. The halls weren't really packed right since it was a bit early in the morning and school didn't start until 8:00am but it was still a little weird.

I hadn't realized that I was now leaning against the lockers that we stopped in front of until Jeff cleared his throat as if sensing that I wasn't completely with him right now. I turned my gaze up to his, only to feel my face heat up. He looked so uncomfortable, but also looked like he needed to say something all at the same time. He took a deep breath then rested his arm over my head. His body was a bit close to mine making me all to aware of the towering giant in front of me. He bit his bottom lip and glanced around slowly until he finally landed his eyes back to me.

"Listen this is going to sound really weird..." He started out of nowhere, "But I just want you to listen alright..."

I wasn't to sure what to expect, but I nodded my head anyways.

He took a deep breath still leaning over me and used his other hand to motion a little as he spoke, "I know that your like kind of going out with Aiden right now but I-"

I had to cut him off at that, "We're not dating"

Hadn't Aiden told Jeff that we were going to get married. Wait now that I think about it Ryan didn't even realize it either. That asshole!!! All this time making me think he told his friends in order for me to tell mine!!

"Vikky?"

I gasped and looked back up quickly, "Sorry..."

He shook his head slightly, "No problem" He rubbed the back of his neck as he started to push off the lockers and continued to talk, "I didn't really realize that you two weren't like...well anyways...I was kind of hoping that you'd might want to like...go out with me sometime..."

"Huh?!" That caught my attention for sure

I couldn't help the kick up in my chest and the heat the pretty much covered my body. I felt the heat from the tips of my toes to the tips of my hair. I was that surprised. I bit my bottom lip not to sure what to do or say.

"Uhhhh- I..."

He cut me off quickly putting a hand up to stop me, "Listen you don't have to answer right now...I know it's really sudden and all..."

I blanked out the rest of Jeff's words as I couldn't help but stare at him. He looked as embarrassed as I felt. His face was red, his shaggy hair falling more into his face trying to hide the red on his cheeks. I don't know how it happened or when but I found myself saying.

"I'll go out with you."

Jeff seemed to be as surprised as I was by my own words. He smiled brightly making my heart thump up against my rip cage like a rabbit on crack. This smile brightened up his usual lazy exterior like he just got exactly what he wanted for Christmas. I couldn't help myself but smile myself.

**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**

Both of us jumped a little hearing the school bell go off. Neither of us had seem to realize that we were talking for such a long time. I thought only a few minutes tops, but this talk seemed to last a crap loads lot longer.

"Well...I uhhh-I'll see you later then." Jeff said rubbing one of his arms like he wanted to do something.

I nodded my head slightly, "Y-yeah sure."

How awkward did this feel.

He glanced around quickly then turned back towards me and leaned in quickly. My heart seemed to jump to my throat when I felt his cool soft lips press gently up against my cheek. It was a light kiss almost like a touch of a feather. It made my face heat up even more. He pulled back quickly and smiled with an obvious look of embarrassment.

"Well...I'll see you..." He said as he nodded his head as if talking to himself then disappeared down one of the many halls.

HOLY CRAP ON TOAST DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN?!?!
