It had been 5 months since Frank told Gerard he wanted to propose. Frank and Gerard were sitting in the living room drinking coffee. Frank was picking at him clothes nervously.

“Uh…Gerard? Can I ask you something?” he began nervously.

“Sure. What’s up?”

“Well…I want to buy an engagement ring today and was wondering if you could help me pick it out?”

“Sure. Do you want to go now or…” he trailed off.

“Yeah, Esther is sleeping so I think it would be better to go now.” They drained they’re coffees and stood up. Gerard stretched slightly and they walked out the door. Esther and Frank lived together and Gerard was visiting. They walked silently to Gerard’s car and backed out of the driveway. Frank kept tapping the dashboard nervously. Gerard stopped at a jewelry store and got out.

They walked silently into the store and looked around. A clerk [a/n: no idea if that’s what they’re called but meh.] noticed them and walked over. He glanced at all the tattoos but ignored them. They were customers and he must be polite.

“Can I help you with something gentlemen?”

“Yes. I’m looking for an engagement ring.” Frank mumbled. He nodded and went behind a counter. Frank and Gerard walked up to the counter as the clerk pulled out some astonishingly beautiful rings. They just kind stood there and gaped. Frank’s eyes searched the rings until he stopped at one. It had a silver band and 3 stones. The middle one was black and the other two, red. The clerk noticed at what Frank was looking at and picked it up.

“This, my sirs is real diamond. Clear black diamond. Extremely rare.” [a/n:yes there is no such thing. But me no care. : P it’s my story]

“how much?” the clerk cleared his throat.

“10 thousand dollars sir.” Frank turned pale.

“Seriously?” Gerard asked. The clerk nodded.

“Gerard…this is the perfect ring. She’ll love it but it’s so expensive.” Gerard nodded. “Well, it’s not like I can’t afford it…” Gerard nodded. “But holy shit!” Gerard shrugged.

“Just do what you thinks best man.” Frank nodded and got out his wallet. Be brought out a lot of cash and handed it to the clerk. The clerk counted it and nodded. He put the ring in a little black box and handed it to Frank.

“Thank you.”

“No sir, thank you” Frank left the stare, Gerard following in his wake. They walked to the car and got in. They drove back to the apartment and got out. Frank opened the door and they walked in. Frank walked to the coffee table, spotting a note attached to it. ‘To Frank, and Gerard if your there,

I’ve gone to band practice. You can come if you want; we’re trying out a new guitarist to replace John. At Hayley's house. Hope to see you,

Xoxo Esther.’ Frank looked up from the note and at Gerard, who was reading it over his shoulder.

“Want to go?” Frank suggested. Gerard made this funny movement between a nod and a shrug. Frank sighed. “Let’s go then.” Gerard nodded and followed Frank out the door. They took Frank’s car this time. They approached Hayley’s house and parked the car. They approached the garage door cautiously and knocked on it. Esther opened it and squeed. Then in one quick, pain-free motion, she hugged Frank and kissed him. “Yay! Y’all came! Come on in, I want you to meet George our new guitarist.” She grabbed Frank’s arm and Gerard’s sleeve and dragged them into the garage. Talking to Jake was a guy with long brown hair and brown eyes. He looked kind of like Gerard.

“This is Gerard Bureta, our new bassist George, this is Frank Iero my boyfriend and this is Gerard Way.” They took in each other’s appearances. Suddenly Mikey, Ray, Bob and his girlfriend Hal, showed up. Hal had dirty blonde hair, and was 5’7. Bob was madly in love with her. He loved her dark green eyes. Gerard looked at them questioningly.

“How-” he began but Mikey cut him off.

“We got here before. I tried to call you but you didn’t pick up. You showed up when I was about to call you again.” Mikey explained while sliding and arm around Hayley’s waist and put his head on hers. Frank nodded. Natalie walked out of nowhere, into the room.

“Hey guys.” She said to Frank and Gee before turning to Esther. “C’mon we’ve got to practice and see how George works with the new song you wrote.” Esther nodded. Frank turned to her.

“You wrote a new song?”

“Oh yeah, I wrote it like a million years ago and found it.” Frank nodded. Natalie walked out of the room. The rest followed her. They set up their instruments and stuff and started playing.

Everyone clapped wildly. Hal was screaming and jumping up and down like she was in a mosh pit or something. Esther giggled at her then turned to Frank.

“How was it?” she asked Frank nervously. He smiled at her. He walked up to her and kissed her. “Freaking AWESOME!” he said enthusiastically.

“Really?” she raised her eyebrows. Frank rolled his eyes and hugged her.

“Yes.” She smiled. “Yay!” everyone laughed. They kissed lovingly. Hal cooed.

“Aww they’re so cute! They make me want to hug pink kitties.” Everyone stared at her, Except for Frank and Esther who were still making out. She laughed. “what?” Everyone, including Frank and Esther, laughed.
