Statues Without Eyes

"When I was a kid, my friends and I sat around to talk about a person that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with,"I mentioned as I laid in his arms looking at the ceiling,"Kind of like what our dreamlover would be."
"And what was yours?"
"Well,"I sighed with a smile,"He would be a bit older than me, have his own problems that he can handle, brown hair, amazing eyes, fit, understanding, loving, caring, helpful, and then want to help other people. Be my whole balance to my crazy life."
"You did not,"Ryan smirked.
"Yes I did,"I turned on my side to look at him,"I'm dead serious. I didn't know he'd be a CSI and former cop but still, the second you walked into that crime scene, I realized it was you."
"Wow."
"Yeah, I just know I don't want to lose you,"I rubbed his arm slowly,"Which is why I'm going to make Jake's house an office space for manager stuff and a house that the boys can go to if they need to escape or something. So then I'd get them their own keys so they can come and go, I'm sure Jake won't mind."
"So does that mean you're not moving out?"
"No,"I smiled at him,"I'm staying with you."
"Promise."
"I promise,"I smiled at him kissing him lightly then thinking,"Hey can I tell you something that I never told anyone like ever?"
"What?"
"When I was 16 and my mom left me again in Finland, that's when the family I was staying with told me my dad was Horatio, I spent years trying to find him. The whole time I went through this whole depression thing, I felt like no one wanted me, I never felt love for anyone, I mean sure there were other boyfriends but I was always just too tomboyish for them. From that point on, I swore if I met that dreamlover I dreamt of so long ago, I wouldn't ever let him get away."
"I never knew that."
"I never told anyone,"I smiled lightly at him,"I just thought after so many years of dating around, being with someone that he wasn't out there, but I was wrong. Then when I found him, I slowly screwed things up which sucked."
"You didn't screw things up,"Ryan smiled at me,"I still love you."
"I love you too,"I smiled at him,"I'm sorry I didn't have you come find me first before Eric when I was kidnapped, I didn't want you to see me like that."
"That reminds me, how did Eric find you?"
"There's this guy Angelo, he's Italian which somehow I've got family in Italy and he was watching me or something, it's sorta complicated even I don't get it."
"You do live an interesting life,"He chuckled to himself a bit.
"I know right, just as long as you're willing to keep me here right?"
"Of course,"He smiled as he pulled the sheet over us,"Now get some sleep."

In the morning, I woke up to be greeted by the sun shining over the beach view we had over which I walked out to the balcony to watch when I heard my phone ring in my pocket.
"Hello?"
"Hey Sylar,"I heard Kyle in the phone.
"Hey what's up? You're so interupting my vacation by the way."
"Sorry,"He laughed to himself,"But are you still coaching us?"
"Yes,"I rolled my eyes as Ryan wrapped his arms around my waist,"Was that really important?"
"I don't know, I was just bored.
"I'll talk to you later Kyle."
"Ok."
I hung up the phone to look at Ryan who was smiling at me.
"I swear he's all little brother-y know."
"You'll get used to it,"He laughed.
"Maybe,"I shrugged watching the beach,"It's beautiful."
"I'm glad you had me come here."
"Don't mention it."
"Why don't we spend the whole day on the beach?"Ryan suggested,"Then tonight we can go get something to eat at a resturant or something."
"Sounds like a great plan,"I smiled as I turned to face him,"I'm going to go get changed."
"Don't take too long,"He smirked as I walked inside to change into my black bikini as I pulled my hair back.

Looking in the mirror, my smile faded when I seen the scar which was almost something that made me not want to go to the beach when Ryan appeared in the doorway.
"You look fine."
"I hate this scar,"I could feel my tears trying not to fall,"It just keeps me reminding me of that day."
"Hey,"Ryan walked up to me to lift my chin up,"You still look beautiful and don't let this get to you, it's what they wanted in the first place."
"Thanks,"I smiled lightly as his warms lips connected to mine,"Ready?"
"Yup,"He smiled as we headed out to the beach the rest of the day.

The day at the beach ended up with me tanning most the time, then going out to the water where I flirted with Ryan which was fun, especially when he would pull me off to a deeper part of the water in which we made out. By time we got out of the water the sun was setting, Ryan was slightly sun burnt which I felt bad for but promised to put on the aloe vera on his sunburn tonight.

We were sitting in the resturant just enjoying the dinner when I watched the people go by and Ryan got my attention again.
"So, since you're staying with me, can I make a suggestion?"
"What?"
"Well it doesn't have to be something that happens right away."
"But?"I looked at him afraid it was something bad.
"Well,"Ryan took something out of his pocket as he moved towards me then got down on one knee to reveal a ring,"Will you marry me?"
"Ryan,"I tried to catch my breath as I looked at him.
"We don't have to rush into things but-"
"Yes,"I nodded my head as he smiled sliding the ring on my finger then coming up to kiss me,"I love you."
"I love you too."

That's when I heard cheering from the wait staff around us which made me laugh since I guess now it was going to be a huge party and before we headed back to the room.
