Sequel: Black Rose

Statues Without Eyes

Superman Tonight

Eric ended up in the hospital, a gunshot. It was probably the scariest thing ever since no one knew if he was going to live or die. Which I was worried about since he was my kid's godfather. I stayed in the hospital until any news was heard on him with Tyler. So many doctors kept telling me that I shouldn't be here with him but I didn't leave him. I was afraid if I left him, my hero would be gone. My superman would be lost. I didn't know if I could handle that.

Ryan had to go into work since there were hostages at Miami Dade, one of which I learnt was Jesse but my mind wasn't there right now. I sat in Eric's room, one hand on Eric's lifeless one as the other held onto Tyler. My mind was racing as I watched his sleeping frame.

"I wish I could save you tonight," I whispered to Eric as a silent tear fell from my eye as I heard someone walk into the room with me.

I turned my head to see Kyle standing there as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey," He gave me a light smile as I forced a smile at him.
"Hey."
"Dad and Ryan told me, I'd find you here."
"I want to stay with him."
"Have you ate anything yet?"
"No, I can't eat," I shook my head as he took his hand off my shoulder.
"I can take Tyler for a while for you," He shrugged.
"I-"
"He doesn't need to see his mom like this," Kyle smiled lightly as I handed him Tyler.
"Be careful," I looked at him.
"I'll see you in a few hours."
"Ok," I nodded as he left as I turned back to Eric.

The machines kept beeping as I watched Eric on the bed. I leant on the window sill, watching the bright sun contradict my feelings right now.

"Sylar?" I heard a hoarse voice as I turned my head towards Eric as I rushed towards his side.
"Eric," I smiled as I felt him squeeze my hand, "There you are?"
"What are you doing here?"
"I was just making sure you're ok," I smiled at him.
"I am," He smiled at him.
"You worried us for a while."
"I'll be ok," He let out a long sigh as I nodded, "Get some rest."
"You should," I laughed as he looked at me slowly.
"I'll be fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Thank you," He gave my hand one last squeeze as I stood up to give him a kiss on the forehead as he pulled me closer to him, "I'll always be there to save you."

I backed away with a smile as he gave me a light smile then I headed back to my car. I decided to see how the hostage situation was going at Miami-Dade or went since Ryan told me it was over. That's when I walked down the hall with a smile on my face when I seen Ryan was ok.

"Hey," Ryan kissed me as I smiled, "You ok?"
"Yeah, Kyle's watching Tyler for us for a while yet."
"Ok," Ryan nodded as I looked towards my dad who was talking to someone who looked familiar but I couldn't remember exactly.

As I stood there, that person walked over to me as he stood in front of Ryan with Calleigh.

"Sylar?" He raised an eyebrow at me, trying to piece it together.
"Jesse," I nodded at him as his face lit up.
"Wow," Jesse gave me a light hug then backed away, "It's been a while."
"It has," I nodded, "So I see you're back in Miami."
"Yeah," He shrugged with a smile, "Yeah I'm going to start working here again."
"Really?" I questioned as I looked at everyone and they shrugged, "Well then, welcome."
"Ryan," Calleigh touched him slightly, "Why don't you come to firearms with me?"
"But-"
"Come on," Calleigh mentioned as she drug him down the hall as I looked at Jesse.

"He seems nice."
"He is," I sighed as I crossed my arms at you.
"I'm glad. And a son?"
"Yeah," I nodded at him.
"Wow."
"Yeah."
"We need to talk," Jesse sighed as he ran a hand through his hair.
"Not here," I sighed but gave him a nod.
"Where?"
"Here," I took out a piece of paper and scribbled down my number, "That's my cell, call me around 5 and we'll talk about where to meet and talk."
"Wow, you gave me your number quicker than last time," He laughed as I rolled my eyes at him.
"I've got to go," I mentioned.
"Wait," Jesse stopped me as he slid me a piece of paper, "Here's mine."
