Statues Without Eyes

Working in the open, I kept stealing glances at Ryan which I thought no one knew until I heard,"Someone's got a crush."
I turned towards Calleigh with a slight blush on my face,"No..."
"Yeah,"She smiled,'I see you stealing the glances."
"I can't help it,"I smiled like a school girl,"He's just so-"
"Ryan?"She laughed.
"No,"I laughed back.
Calleigh looked at me with a smile then realized something,"Wait you two are dating?"
"Ssh, don't say it too loud, H doesn't know. In fact, you and Natalia are the only two that know we're dating."
"I won't say anything,"She smiled.
"Thank you,"I smiled to hear my phone ring,"You got this? I need to take this."
"Yeah,"She smiled.
"Thanks."

Walking off a bit, I went to take my call from Jake who I haven't seen in a whle.
"Jake, where the hell have you been?"I asked.
"Well, I'm not undercover anymore,"He laughed in the phone.
"Then what are you doing?"
"It's Detective Berkley now."
"Detective Berkley?"I asked finding a smile on my face creep up.
"Don't smile, I can see you so don't say you're not."
"Wait? Where are you?"I asked looking around.
"Turn around,"He mentioned as I turned around to see him standing there with a smile on his face
"Jake!"I ran up to him and threw my arms around him, totally unprofessional but he is my best friend who I haven't seen in forever.
"Hey,"He squirmed a bit,"People can see you."
"Sorry,"I backed off,"What are you doing here?"
"Didn't Horatio tell you? I'm working with you guys now,"He smiled.
"Seriously?"
"Yes seriously?"He shoved me slightly,"What have you been up to?"
"Well I'm a CSI now-"
"Congratulations on that."
"And I'm coaching at night to some kids."
"I'll have to check that out."
"Yeah and some other things that I can't tell you about right now."
"You know, when you say that,"He looked at me,"It only means that it's juicy."
"Damn you and knowing me too well,"I smirked.
"Sylar!"I heard Ryan,"Can you give me a hand?"
"Gotta go,"I smirked at him as I walked off.

"What's up?"I asked standing next to him.
"What's up with you and Berkley?"
"He's my best friend,"I rolled my eyes,"Jealous?"
"No-"
"Yes you are,"I smirked.
"So?"
"It's cute,"I smiled at him as he rolled my eyes.
"Don't make me hurt you,"He half-glared.
"Promises, promises,"I sighed as he shook his head at me.
"Take this back to the lab to Natalia and get it processed,"He handed me some evidence.
"Ok,"I nodded then leant over to him to whisper in his ear,"Still I want you to hurt me."

With that, I walked off leaving him speechless as he watched me get back into the Hummer to head back to the lab. Getting to the lab, I handed the evidence to Natalia then went on my way to head down to Alex in the morgue since she had come back with the body already.

"Hey Alex,"I smiled at her sweetly.
"Hey sweetie,"She smiled.
"Did you find the cause of death yet?"
"I was just about to,"She smiled.
"Mind if I stay?"
"Think you can handle it?"
"Oh Alex,"I smirked at her,"I can handle a lot."
"Ok,"She smiled and started to work on the body which I could handle, it didn't bother me mainly since when I was doing profiling I seen a lot.
"Wow, I guess you should,"Alex laughed.
"I know,"I watched as she worked on the body.
"Hmm, that's interesting?"
"What?"
"Tell Horatio that I need him down here quickly."
"Ok,"I nodded as I went go find Horatio to tell him Alex wanted him.

Watching Horatio leave, I stood there as Ryan walked up to me.
"You busy?"
"Nope,"I looked at him.
"Good,"He smiled,"You can help me sift through evidence."
"Fun,"I rolled my eyes as I followed him into the evidence room in which he had TV's set up, I'm guessing we had to sift through security footage.
"I'm never going to get through this,"I mumbled rubbing my eyes watching the TV screens.
"I'll gety ou some coffee,"He smiled.
"Thanks, make it cappachino though."
"No problem,"He walked off and I went back to watching the security tapes which I swear I was going to pass out from.
"How are things going?"Calleigh asked causing me to jump a bit,"Sorry."
"No, it's cool,"I shook my head,"I think I was falling asleep, so you woke me back up."
"Where's Ryan?"
"He went to get caffiene so I can focus on this."
"Oh,"She nodded,"Well when you find out anything let me know."
"I will,"I smiled as she left and Ryan brought back a cup to sit in front of me,"Thanks."

"Anything?"
"Nope,"I sighed watching the tapes move by,"Wait, stop that there and go back a second."
"Ok,"Ryan rewinded a bit to this guy who kept his head away from the camera until a certain spot.
"See that? He wasn't so smart after all,"I smirked.
"Good eye,"He smiled picking up his phone,"Hey H."
Ryan got up to talk to Horatio as I studied the guy on the screen, something was familiar about this guy, looking at him a bit, I realized I've seen this man before.
"Ryan?"I kept my eyes to the screen as he came back.
"Yeah?"
"I know that man,"I looked at him for a second,"I've seen him around my events a lot."
