Callicas Boarding School For Otherworld Youth
Chapter Two-A New Start
-----5:45pm-----
“Finally!” I said, as we drove up to the guarded entrance to the school grounds. I couldn't see the school yet, because the only thing I could see was trees since Callicas is located in the Frieze Mountains, in the middle of a very dense forest, because vampires, witches, and demons don’t want their children ogled while they’re being taught.
Driving up to the gate, my mom showed the guard, a grumpy looking drawf, our pass that we received in the mail, and we proceeded up the very long driveway. Five minutes later the school came into my view, and let me tell you, wow! Just the front of the school looked to be about 6 stories high and everything was made out of a dark gray brick. To the left and right of the main building there were a bunch of somewhat smaller buildings, which I guess were additions to school as the population grew and there was need for more space.
Already there seemed to be dozens of cars in the visitor parking lot, most likely parents dropping their kids off for the new school year. Well, good news is I did not have to try and lug all my stuff up to my new dorm room, since the school had staff that would do it for me.
Both me and my mom exited the car and went up the steps and through the tall oak doors into the school. There seemed to be at least 50 other students, all looking like the normal ugly brunettes that we were supposed to be.
“Well Ellie, this is where we part ways. Hope you have a good start here. I’ll be back for your first change, so I’ll see you in October.”
After saying that, my mom gave me a kiss on my head and walked out of the school. Once alone, I started looking around for Tristian. Spotting him by the huge staircase, I made my way over to him.
About halfway there, someone stuck their foot out and I went sprawling face foreword. Expecting to make contact with the hard marble floor I suddenly felt a pair of hands grab me and I was pulled upwards into a skinny somewhat toned chest. “What the-” I started to say, and then I looked up into the most gorgeous pair of unchanged brown eyes I had ever seen.
“Are you okay?” he asked in a kinda squeaky voice.
“Yeah, I think so.” I somehow managed to say without stuttering.
“Cool.” he said and let go of me.
“Hey Ronan! Over here!” I heard the culprit of my would be fall, Gwen DuLaine, yelled across the room. Without a backwards glance at me, he went over to her and her crowd.
While I was standing there looking like a idiot with my mouth slightly open, Tristian came up to me slightly out of breath. “Oh jeez, Ellez, are you okay?” Grabbing my shoulders so I’d face him he started to examine my being to see if I was hurt at all, forever acting like the overprotective brother I never had.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Never hit the ground so no harm done. Though I swear when I come into my powers, that Gwen is going to regret the all those time she decided to mess with me.” Seething, I waked over to the nearest wall and slid down it until I was sitting Indian style on the floor while Tristian did the same.
“So miss Ellie, are you excited that were finally here?” he asked me, but I was to preoccupied starring at Gwen and Ronan across the room. Something about that boy just seemed to call to me.
Following my line of sight, Tristian scoffed and snapped his fingers in front of my face. “Don’t even think about him. He’s way out of your league.”
“I have no idea what your talking about.” I said, my face blushing ever so slightly from being caught starring.
“He’s the son of the demon lord, Mikhail Talos.” Tristian said, like that was all there was to it.
“So? Why does it matter if he’s the son of a demon lord or not? It’s not like I want to marry him or anything. There’s no harm in looking.”
“Ellie, I know you. Your not goin--” he started to say but was cut off by a woman at the top of the grand stair case calling for our attention.
