I am much ashamed of my exchange:
But love is blind and lovers cannot see
The pretty follies that themselves commit;
For if they could, Cupid himself would blush.
They always say love is blind, but how far can one old-fashioned myth go? The love Gerard shares with Frank is as blind as anyone else’s; he can’t see it, but he can certainly feel it. However for Frank, you could go a step further, for a horrific accident in his early years left him visually impaired, and not just blind to love, but blind to the world, and most importantly, unable to ever set eyes on his beautiful fiancé.
