Escape
She took a tentative step toward the box, her breath freezing in the air in front of her eyes. She reached an arm out, and pushed the button on the front of the woodwork. A voice echoed all around her.
"Welcome to level five, please continue on to the next room for further instructions"
She hesistated, but this soon vanished when she heard voices behind her. This was her chance to move on alone. She made a run for the steel door in front of her. Quick, quick, you can do it. The words paced through her mind.
She pushed the door open slightly, which took all her might. Her blood soaked hands sank into the metal, and the door creaked loudly. There was just enough space to squeeze through, and she pushed her body past. The voices behind her became louder, turning to shouts. She sped through, pushing the door shut as the others entered the room she was just in. She heard shouts, and cries to open the door. Then, she head the ticking of the 5 second timer, and counted along with it. Screames echoed all around her, as the other room's voice announced;
"Game Over".
Blood seeped into the room from under the door, and she felt her stomach turn slightly.
