The Fire Emblem

Benika Yuuhi

Yet another Saturday at home, alone. Raiura couldn’t remember the last time he had gone out. I mean, he had friends. The young boy was invited places all the time. But he never went. He just wasn’t the kind of guy that hung out at the mall, or went out to lunch over the weekend. If you wanted to find him, he'd be in front of the Princess' castle watching. It’s all the entertainment he needed. I don’t know what made him say "Yes." to going out that day. I guess something deep inside of him was ready for a change. So instead of sitting in front of the glowing computer screen, Raiura found himself scrunched in the back seat of a carage between some people that he didn't even know, and that havent been seen around town EVER! "Where are we going exactly?" Raiura asked the driver. "We’re meeting some other people over at The Yuuhi household. It’s just a little get-together. You know." "Oh," Raiura said quietly, trying desperately to remember who The Yuuhi family was. Minute by minute he was becoming more and more uncomfortable. There he was, sandwiched between two guys he barely knew and on my way to some stranger’s house. Now Raiura knew exactly why he hadn’t gone out in a long time. By the time we got near the Yuuhi household, the guy next to me must have noticed that I was not feeling shy and unwanted and pulled lightly at the end of my shirt, "What’s the matter? Come on, it’ll be fun!" Some odd guy, who was the driver, said, "Yeah, seriously Raiura. This will be good for you. You really need to get out more." He thought to hiself "How does this guy know my name? I ahve never riden this before. Never had the money." I felt the guy next to me wrap his heavy arm around my shoulder. "If it helps at all, I promise not to leave your side," he said, close to Raiura's ear. I guess he couldn’t really help it. There was maybe only half an inch between them. Nonetheless, he was feeling much better. It was strange, though. Normally, if a guy said something like that to me, he would turn bright red and immediately have to leave the room, or at least asked for a name. Maybe, Raiura thought, this is a new beginning for him. The new bold and flirtatious Raiura had decided to break free! Raiura told himself many times "I am going to have a fun time, with tall, protective people by my side." And he even believed myself, until the front door opened to reveal him. Not that there was anyone there, but thats what scared him. There was onlt one older woman there, with faiding blonde hair. Now Raiura was springed and ready to run at any moment. He now felt to weird to stand there without a word. He looked to the door and his eyes locked onto the woman standing at the door. Raiura quickly looked down to his feet. He couldn’t tell anything from that split second that there eyes had met. Was she excited to see him? Disgusted? Indifferent. Raiura was getting impataint, so he finaly asked the woman at the door, "Not meaning to be rude or anyting, but I thought this was suppose to be some type of party? Where are all the people?" The lady replied, "I have to tell you something Raiura..." Raiura thought to himself "How does everyone here know my name?" "I have to tell you that you have been selected out of millions of mages in the world to become the greatest Mage leader to fight in our war against the French for our land to be kept." "Um... what is your names anyway?" Raiura asked. " I am the advise giver, and the mayor of Tokyo. My name is Benika Yuuhi. The two guys that picked you up are named Jinsei Rin, and Riki Fuyuk, both my sidekicks in the mayor buisness. You are here on major buiesness. I need you to gather six more of the finest Mages in the town, and gather them at the Hime Ai palace ready for battle in ten days. Can you do that for me?" Raiura responded, "You... you... you are kidding right?" "I am afraid not my dear." "Ok.... even though I thin that it is a bit weird that you picked me, It's not like I have better things to do. I will do it." She reponded acting amazed, "Actually Hime Ai Yoko said that you were the best mage she had ever seen, but before you waste more of your time here, go and gather up your army in those ten days, and don't forget that I am here whenever you need me." Raiura had to go home. He couldn’t stay there. Not with there mages to be gathered. Raiura went hoem to get
