Weightless

He looked at her for what seemed like an eternity.

"This can't be happening. It just can't"

She started gathering her things and food but instead ended upfumbling around looking ridiculous.

"Amanda, calm down. Please sit and talk to me."

She looked in his eyes and they were pleading. So she sat back down.

"Why are you freaking out?"

"Because I like Matt. I broke him and Liz apart, so I could get my chance. This was not supposed to happen!"

"Amanda, Amanda, Amanda"

He shook his head and took her hand in his.

"Sometimes guys just don't see something amazing, even if it's right in front of them. Matt is one of those people."

"But I-. I like him so much."

She began to cry and everything bean to become a blur. Then she felt arms wrap around her.

"Please don't cry. He's not worth it."

"B-b-b I just can't imagine..."

"Hey." He took her face and made it face his.

"Just because one guy doesn't see how great you are and doesn't like as much as you do, doesn't mean there isn't someone who does."

"But who?"

"You're really asking that question after what just happend?"

"Oh. So you really do like me?"

"More than you could ever possibly understand."

"But didn't feel rough watching me hang all over Matt?"

"It did, but it was just like when you didn't like watching Matt gush all about Liz."

"Yeah, that did suck. I'm sorry."

"It's okay. You didn't know. But he doesn't know either."

"Yeah. I feel horrible for breaking them up."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, I wish there was something that I could do."

"How about you try to make things better. Go and tell Matt everything."

"I don't know if I can."

"I'll be with you the whole time if you like." And he kissed her cheek.

"I'd like that more than anything."
