Put Your Heart Where Your Mouth Is

Siete.

It'd been thirty minutes, and Alex's arm was now wrapped around my shoulder. I glanced down through the water--my chicken legs seemed even more extreme than Pat's, and that thought scared me. I shook out my damp hair, accidentally whapping everyone sitting within a foot of me in the face with dirty, chemically inhanced, hot tub water.

"Yum." Jack said awkwardly, wiping his cheek. "So, Alex, I was just planning out our evening."

"This should be good." Alex nodded, smiling confidently.

"I was thinking nice, luxury hotel sheets, fine wine, and Oprah. Does that sound good to you?" He gave Alex a mock-purr, and added the paw for effect. Everyone burst out laughing. I wouldn't be surprised if they really were gay.

"Actually, Jack, love, I was thinking about spending it another way." He wiggled his eyebrows. Everyone 'ohhh'ed, but he waved them down. "Don't get so excited! I was actually planning on heading out for a few hours. So what do you say?" He turned to me. "Andy?"

"What--me?" I asked, nearly stunned into silence.

"You're the only Andy in here..." He hummed thoughtfully, glancing around the cabana. "Please? I'm fun."

"I don't doubt that." I blushed, "Sure. We can paint the town red."

He grinned, and gave me a wink. "I'll wear something a little less embarrassing than a hammock, I promise."

"I'll hold you to it." I said, leaning in with a mischievous smirk.

"My roommate is leaving me." John frowned dramatically, "Who's going to take me in?"

"Movie night in our room?" Wren asked, turning to Kennedy. He just chuckled, downing another Red Bull. "Be there, or be square. Like Andy."

I splashed her-- she bit me. I figured it was a fair trade. And suddenly, without a word of warning, a warm sensation hit my legs. Everyone turned their accusing eyes to Pat, automatically assuming he was the reason behind it.

"Pat, did you piss in here?" Garrett asked. The incredulous look in his eyes was enough to send me over the edge in a fit of laughter.

Pat's jaw dropped and his eyebrows furrowed. "Are you kidding me?"

Jack raised his hand slowly. "I had a lot of Vitamin Water."

"Gross!"

"Abandon ship!"

"Mayday, mayday!"

Everyone was jumping out of the water, grabbing their clothes, and making a run for the doors. With any luck, we'd be safely through the threshold with enough time to lock Jack out in the cold.

"Guys! Don't hate!" He called after us, scrambling to get his things. "I was kidding!"

"Doesn't matter!" Alex said, from behind the glass door. I waved while Alex blew his friend a kiss. We ducked into the elevator-- all ten of us-- and were soon having diffculties standing up because we couldn't control our laughter.
