Misery Business

Tink, cars and overgrown puppies

The first three periods of the day flew by and Tricia was now sitting with the Cullen’s in the cafeteria. She couldn’t help but smirk as every single one of the students stole glances at her, hoping that she wouldn’t notice. Tricia had already been approached by several of the guys turning them all down. Edward, Emmett and Jasper found it hilarious as after the first three guys she began to lose her patience.

Tricia began eating the small amount of food that she had placed on her tray, wanting school to be over so she could get her new car. The Cullen’s all gave her an odd look which they all hid before anyone else could notice.
“How can you eat that?” Emmett whispered, but not loud enough for any of the humans to hear.
“Three hundred and sixty-four years of practise” she answered with a smirk and continued eating. Not once cringing from the taste.

“So what are you doing after school?” Alice asked, genuinely curious for once.
“I thought you could see Tink?” Tricia asked confused that Alice didn’t know
“I can just not all of you're future” Alice huffed out of frustration
“Where did you get Tink from?” Rosalie asked, finding it odd name for Alice
“Tink is short for Tinker Bell” every one of them looked confused. “You know from Peter Pan, the little fairy?” Alice smirked whilst the boys laughed at Alice’s new nickname.
Edward raised an eyebrow as he heard Tricia’s thoughts,
“So you still can’t think of one for me?” he asked playfully. Tricia shook her head,
“Nope, you're not big brother material, at least I don’t think. And you're definitely not lil brother material either. So I guess you don’t get one” Tricia smirked playfully and had to stop herself from falling out of her chair laughing at Edward’s pout.
“Oh yeah so what’ve you got for me?” Emmett asked cockily
“Care Bear” Tricia said amongst her laughter. The others all joined in and Rosalie pecked Emmett on the lips to try and make him feel better.
“What about Jazzy?” Alice piped up
“How about… Jazz Band” Jasper couldn’t help but smirk at his nickname, “Oh and how can I forget Barbie?” Tricia added Rosalie scowled playfully at her.

School continued much the same as the first three periods and Tricia was dying to get out of there. For the last ten Tricia had been staring at the clock on the wall not paying all that much attention to the conversation she was having with Alice and Rosalie. When the bell finally rang, Tricia rushed out to the parking lot and jumped into the car she had been using and sped off back to La Push to pick up Jacob.

“Hey Jacob, over here!” Tricia yelled out waving him over by the car. Jacob’s mouth visibly dropped when he saw the car and Tricia laughed at him and his friends that came over with him. “You can drive right Jake?”

Tricia waved over at Paul and Jared who were both glaring daggers at her.

Jacob nodded his head and turned his attention from the car to whom Tricia was waving to. A scowl replaced the awe that had been on Jacob’s face moments ago.
“You know those guys?” Jacob asked in a hushed tone. Tricia raised an eyebrow trying to figure out what his problem was.
“Yeah, why?”
“Well…they’re sorta in a gang” Jacob began only to be interrupted by Tricia’s laughter. He and his friends glared at her.
“Those guys, they’re nothing but a couple of overgrown puppies, trust me” Tricia couldn’t help but laugh harder as she saw the shock visible on each of their faces. “So Jake…who are you’re little friends?” she asked once she had calmed down from her fit of laughter.
“This is Quil and Embry.” He said nonchalantly, “And I can’t believe you skipped school and went without me!” Jacob growled playfully at Tricia and she once again began laughing.
“This is the car I’ve been borrowing kid now come on” Tricia said jumping back into the driver’s seat. “It was nice meeting you; maybe we’ll see each other around?” Tricia asked as Jacob got in and they both waved bye to Quil and Embry.

“So what car are you gonna get?” Jacob asked breaking the silence that filled the car,
“Same as this, but in black and maybe a bike”
“Cool, so that’s the real reason why you needed my help?” he questioned
“Yeah, so I’m warning you now crash my car on the way back and I’ll kick you're arse” all the colour drained from Jacob’s face as he saw the look in Tricia's eyes that told him she was serious.

Tricia pulled up about two blocks from the car dealership, cutting the engine and leaving the keys in the car. “Hey, aren’t you at least gonna grab the keys?” Jacob asked as he walked next to her
“Nope, I know that the owner is gonna pick it up. Now come on we can race back to La Push once I get my bike” Tricia smirked.
