“Aniza, guess what?” Josh whispered while we were cuddling on the couch. I looked up at him and smiled.

“What?” I asked and he kissed me lightly.

“I love you.” He kissed me sweetly again and I blushed. I still couldn’t believe that I had Josh and he wanted me. It seemed too good to even be a dream.

“I love you too Josh.” I was about to kiss him when Dave and Joe interrupted.

“Aniza, would you please come with me?” Dave said holding out his hand for me to get up from Josh’s lap but Josh didn’t remove his arm from my waist.

“Josh, we need to talk.” Joe said in the protective voice that I knew all too well.

“You got to go baby, they’re going to give you the talk.” I whispered to Josh. He looked like he was thinking about it before sighing in defeat. He kissed me sweetly on the cheek before letting me stand up.

As we were walking opposite directions, Josh decided to be funny and dramatically say “I miss you already!”

I couldn’t help but laugh and turn around to see him watching me. “I’m still going to be on the bus.”

“Yeah but it’s so far away!” He whined and Joe and Dave just chuckled.

“Come on Romeo, you still have two brothers to pass through.” Joe said as he pulled Josh along with him to the bunks.

I was guided to the front of the bus where Matt and Jimmie were already waiting. I looked at all of them with a raised eyebrow and Melinda walked in right after me. I sat next to her and the guys sat across from us. It was awkward for a minute or so before Jimmie decided to start talking.

“Josh told us what happened at the hospital.” He said and I blushed. Just thinking about it made me blush. Actually, a lot of stuff Josh does makes me blush.

“We’ve never seen him this happy before…” Dave said softly and I smiled. “He’s always coming up with ways to impress you and what he can do to make you smile every day.”

“We call him a pussy for it half of the time but he takes it…” Matt added and the guys chuckled. “He doesn’t even bother fighting it. It’s like he’s proud of it.”

“We just don’t want to see him get hurt. He’s been through a couple of bad relationships before and we don’t need to see him get hurt like that again.” Dave pitched in and I looked down at my lap. I would never hurt Josh.

“If you guys think I would ever hurt Josh, you’re wrong…” I whispered just loud enough for them to hear me, “I’m taking a huge leap off a cliff and I don’t know if I’m going to make it to the other side. My last relationship scarred me but I’m letting Josh in. He makes me feel loved and protected. He doesn’t force me to do anything and he’s really patient with me….” I sighed before looking up at them, “I’m in love with him.”

“What happened with that Robert guy? I mean, we saw him at the premiere and Josh kept giving him the death glare and he told us he was your ex.” Jimmie asked curiously and I explained the whole story. By the time I finished, Matt and Melinda sat there wide eyed, Jimmie looked disgusted, and Dave looked pissed off.

“When I see that guy again I swear…” Dave started to say but I cut him off.

“Don’t even try Dave. One, my brothers don’t even know because I don’t need them going to jail for murder. Two, it’s not even worth it.”

“Why isn’t it worth it? He hurt you and he needs to pay for what he did, especially to such an amazing person like you. You’re worth it.” Jimmie explained and I blushed while Dave and Matt agreed.

I was going to counter argue that when my brothers, Josh, Luke, and the rest of the girls walked in. I pouted in defeat while Josh lifted me up to sit in his lap.

He looked at me with a confused and amused expression. I pointed to Matt, Dave, and Jimmie and they laughed.

“Do I even want to know?” Josh asked before I nuzzled my nose in his neck and responding “They were being mean to me.”

“He chuckled lightly and rested his head on mine while placing his hand on my knee. “Sorry beautiful, I can’t help that my friends are jerks.” I blushed and Melinda noticed. I’m such a puddle of mush around Josh.

“Aw, she’s blushing!” She squealed and Josh looked down at me.

“What did I do now?” He asked and I buried my head in his chest.

“You called me beautiful.” I mumbled and he lifted my head up to meet his gaze and grinned.

“You are beautiful and I love you.” He explained before kissing me.

The girls and Luke awed while the rest of the guys jokingly made gagging noises causing me to blush even more.

“Fuck off and leave my gorgeous girlfriend alone. It’s not her fault you’re jealous.” Josh commented and that just made me hide my face in his shirt causing everyone else to laugh.

Something about the concert tonight felt a bit off. Every Avenue performed perfectly and I was still trying to learn all their new songs on their upcoming album. It was just something about the atmosphere when my brothers were performing that seemed really different. It was like they were waiting for something to happen. Just when I thought my suspicion was wrong, Kevin took the microphone from Joe.

“Hello everybody!” There was screaming everywhere and I couldn’t help but look on in confusion. “Just thought I’d let everyone know that we’re going to have a few special guest come out right now.” As he said this Josh and Matt walked onto the stage and I was quickly joined by Luke, Amanda, Kourtney, and Melinda. Looks like we were kept out of the loop on this one.

“So as you know, these are two of the guys from Every Avenue.” Kevin stated and there were louder screams. Kevin gave the mic to Josh and us girls and Luke all stood there dumbfounded. What are they up to?

“Hey everybody! We have a surprise for you and lovely significant others backstage.” Josh started and screams erupted from the whole arena. Luke, Amanda, Kourtney, Melinda, and I looked at each other with “uh-oh” expressions on our faces.

“Now if the loves of our lives would please come on stage.” Big Rob came behind us and nudged us forward. I looked back at him and he just smiled innocently.

As we walked out, the screaming was ear piercing and I didn’t think that was even possible. The guys just stared at us with smiles and I looked at them with a raised eyebrow. Then, Nick stood in front of Luke, Matt stood in front of Melinda, Kevin stood in front of Kourtney, Joe stood in front of Amanda, and Josh stood in front of me.

“What are you doing?” I asked and he grinned. He mouthed ‘I love you’ before looking at Kevin, then Matt, then Nick, and then Joe. They guys looked at each other and nodded before Matt and Kevin pulled out acoustic guitars and started playing with Josh, Nick, and Joe following shortly after. As soon as Kevin and Josh played the tune that would just bring a smile on my face every time I hear it.

I could tell that my eyes lit up by the look on Josh’s face as Kevin sang to Kourtney. At that moment I pieced together what they were doing.

Matt sang to Melinda and I could tell she was just about ready to faint. Her dream just came true except it was with a Jonas Brothers song instead of Every Avenue.

Nick sang to Luke and Luke’s eyes lit up in recognition and I looked at them curiously. I was definitely going to have to ask them about that.

“Small talk on IM

Joe took his turn and Amanda blushed. I looked at Josh with a curious expression but he was still playing while looking at me.

My brothers sang at the same time and they’re significant others were practically glowing by this special attention. Then it was just Josh playing and everyone turned to look at us.

Josh sang and a tear slid down my cheek. Just by him singing me this verse, I felt the love I had for him and the love he had for me.

All of the guys played the last part of the song together and I soon found myself singing softly along. At the end I’m pretty sure I lost my hearing for a minute or so since there was screaming that I swear I felt the stage shake. Joe took the mic from Josh and we left the stage.

As soon as we were backstage Josh pulled me to him and kissed me with so much passion that I just forgot where I was and all I could feel was Josh’s lips on mine and my hands in his hair. We pulled away breathing heavily for air but all I could do was smile as we touched foreheads.

“I love you so much.” I whispered to him and he smiled before kissing me lightly.

“I love you too. More than words could say.” He whispered back and I smiled. This couldn’t get any better.
