Prologue

They stared at each other. Sweat beads dripped down their faces like rain on a window pane. It seemed as though neither had blinked, their breathing was slow and controlled. The pale green eyes stared sharply into the other’s dark blue. One smirked and the other flinched. Each was waiting for the next move, something to happen. Both seemed too afraid to lift their hand. Neither was stupid enough to kick the opposing person. The rain was starting to fall heavier from the sky. God’s tears as the man with pale green eyes had once said. It only rains when something bad is happening in the world. He was right, something bad was about to happen. The fate of the world stood in the palms of these two men.
