The Sight

Imagine a world where spirits are around you. You can't see them, you can't feel them, but some people say they're there. Would you believe them?
If you can imagine that, you can imagine my life. Just me and my friend Mary, she's the gifted one. It's difficult, but with what we've been through, I have to believe her. What I have seen and felt makes it necessary. Can you read my story?
Can you handle the truth?
  1. Prolouge
The heart rate monitor gave inconsistent beeps, waiting thirty seconds, then forty, then ten.
  2. The Entry
Mary hadn't moved a muscle since we got here, and nothing else we had brought showed any signs of what we were looking for.
  3. Aki
The girl's organs spilled out into the floor as she continued on her incessant screaming.
  4. Trapped in the halls
Mary and I continued our pounding on the steps till we realized the screaming was gone.
  5. Bedroom One.
We didn't move for a while, at least. The door behind me remained unlocked, and once I got over the shock, I let it fall open.
  6. So...What now?
Mary was effectively confused. “What?” I just stared, in shock.
