What happens
Hatori had stood there and once again watched her walk away. He couldn’t move nor could he take his eyes off of her. Yuki balled his hands into fists seeing what Ruri had just pulled
“Why couldn’t you have just stayed inside like I told you to?”
“I wanted to see Hatori. He was coming here to see me after all”
“No, I was coming to see Shigure, not you”
“But Ha’ri”
“No, and now because of the stunt you pulled, I have to see her walk away once again”
“You don’t have to watch her you know” Shigure said. Hatori looked back at him and then walked back inside. Shigure sighed as he and Yuki walked inside after him with Ruri behind them. Kyo stood up and looked at them, hearing what had just happened. Hatori had walked upstairs with Ruri’s hand in his. Kyo shook his head
“I don’t know what he’s doing. He still loves Mai”
“She was here, and because of Ruri she left again” Yuki told him. Kyo rolled his eyes
“And now he’s going to have sex with her? Is he dumb?”
“Yeah, thats what it looks like” Shigure sighed. He wanted Mai to be able to come back and feel comfortable but at the same time Hatori was his best friend since they were little. He pushed himself off the wall and went into his study and closed the door behind him. He wanted Mai to come home. Akito wanted Mai to come home and he doesn’t ever want anyone. To the family, Mai was special. She had seemed to make everything better when she was around and when she was gone, things seemed to slow down and was depressing. No one was in a good mood when she was gone. They were always fighting.
Mai walked down the dark street. She walked in the middle of the road with her hands wrapped around her torso. She had stayed in the mountains away from everyone and everything. She only ate when she was in her Fox form, barely slept. She was lost without her family. And now she knew she could never go back. She was walking by the Estate, seeing someone ahead of her in the middle of the road. Their hands were in their pockets.
Mai stopped where she was and looked at them.
“Where are you going?” Akito’s voice seemed to echo in her ears
“Away”
“Why? You just got back”
“I left hoping to make things better but when I came back, I only made things worse”
“No, my dear. When you left, things did change but only because we wanted you to come back” Akito told her as he walked closer to her. The wind blew gently causing their hair to flutter along with it. Akito touched her arm when he was in front of her
“Look at you, you’re sick” he said but she shook her head with a weak smile
“No, just dying inside”
“He does love you”
“No, He loves Ruri”
“Thats where you’re wrong, He tries imagining that shes you”
“Why couldn’t you have just stayed inside like I told you to?”
“I wanted to see Hatori. He was coming here to see me after all”
“No, I was coming to see Shigure, not you”
“But Ha’ri”
