The Undeniable Truth

~Back at the estate~

Hatori looked down at the two boys and glared down at them

"Do you realize what you two idiots have done? This is what i wanted to prevent! Now shes changed because you two brought Tohru around!" Hatori yelled as anger filled his body. He looked down at the ground as he balled his hands into fists. Ayame and Shigure soon joined them at the entrance and looked from Hatori to Kyo and Yuki. They looked at the ground and then back behind them when they heard a scream

"Tohru!" Kyo and Yuki yelled together once again and was about to run after them but Hatori took off in such a hurry that everyone looked after him surprised. Ayame sighed dreamily (not sure if its actually a word but whatever) causing Shigure to smile and Kyo and Yuki to looked at him confused

"What sick thought is going through that twisted mind of yours?" Yuki asked his older brother. Ayame snapped out of his train of thoughts and looked at his little brother with a warm smile

"Well I find it just heart warming that Hatori would go to her rescue"

"He better not lay a hand on Tohru" Kyo growled under his breath. Shigure walked up behind him and smacked him in the back of his head

"Hes not going to save Tohru. Hes going to try and save Mai before she gets hurt"

"Before SHE gets hurt? Shes tryin to kill Tohru!"

"No. Dont you remember you idiot?" Yuki sighed as he looked at the ground once again

"The last time she transformed like this, she was much younger and the demon was much smaller. She was trying to hide from everyone in the woods and a hunter found her and shot at her many times" Yuki explained. Shigure nodded and then stood next to Ayame again

"We'll go into this story later, but for now we should probably go after them" Shigure suggested. Everyone had agreed and ran in the direction of the woods.

~With Tohru~

She had ran as fast as her legs could carry her into the woods. Her heart was beating hard against her chest to the point she felt like she was going to collapse if she were to stop but she knew the demon was right on her tail and she wasnt going to stop. She had dropped her things a while back. Maybe by the entrance of the woods but right now she couldnt think straight and couldnt remember. Her hair had caught low branches on trees causing the ribbons she had put in neatly this morning had come out and were stuck in the trees behind her.

She could hear her heart pump the blood in her body in her ears. Her eyes began to water as she thought how close to death she was. She could also hear the pounding of paws on the ground behind her and the demons heavy breathing. She knew it was becoming tired but also that she wasnt going to give up easily.

They had soon hit a dead end, the beach. Tohru spun around and looked oup at the demon with fear in her eyes. She could see the faint smirk on the demons lips. She was trapped with no one to help her.

"Now you will pay for the damage you have created" the demonic voice told her.

Tohru had taken a quick step back as the demon had taken one towards her. She had shaken her head as tears began to flow down her face. This was not the way she wanted to die. She wanted to grow old and be with Kyo. She had taken another step back as she closed her eyes. Thoughts of her mother raced through her mind. But then there was a gunshot.

Everything had gone silent for a few moments. The only thing that was heard were the birds flying away and the sound of someone hitting the ground. Tohru had opened her eyes and covered her mouth from the scene in front of her. Not too far in front of her she had heard the sound of a twig snap making her jump and look up

"Hatori" she whispered in tears. He shook his head and held up his hand weakly

"Dont say anything" he demanded softly. He couldnt take his eyes off of the scene in front of him. What he say scared him to death and horrified him. There, on the ground, was the only thing he loved in the entire world and she was covered in blood. He didnt even notice when the others had joined him.

Shigure and Ayame gasped when they arrived and Yuki was about to go over to Mai but Ayame held him back

"Mai!!" Yuki yelled as he struggled against his older brother

"Yuki, no"

"Let me go! She needs me!" Yuki yelled, still struggled more. Shigure looked over at Yuki and shook his head

"No, she doesnt need you. She needs Hatori" Shigure told him. Hatori looked back at Shigure as tears formed in his green eyes

"She needs you right now Ha'ri" Shigure smiled. Hatori then looked at Ayame who simply nodded still holding Yuki back.

Hatori had then turned back to Mai and slowly walked towards her. She had been changed back into her human form once the bullets hit her. Her side was covered in blood and her body laid in a pool of her own blood. Once he had reached her, he had fallen to his knees at her side.

"Mai" he whispered. Everyone could hear the pain in his voice as he said her name. Hatori scooped her up in his arms and held her close to his chest, tangling his fingers into her raven black hair.

"Please Mai, dont leave me. Not now" he cried into her ear. He closed his eyes as he placed his forehead against hers and started to cry. He was in love with her and there was no way he wanted to lose her now. He scooped up the rest of her body in his arms and stood up slowly.

"We have to get her back to the Main House" he told them and started to run past them. Tohru had watched as all the guys chased after Hatori. She couldnt lie to herself, she was upset that no one had made sure she wasnt hurt. They had all their attention on Mai and Hatori. She shook her head and started home slowly. She wanted to get washed up and be alone for a while they were all with Mai.
