Dear Maria, Count Me In

Alex P.O.V

I was laying down in my room, life is so boring when there's no band practice
I decided to call Jack and see what crazy shenanigans we could do
After his cell rang 3 times, he answered
"Wassup Dude?!" Jack said drawing out the U in wassup, he's so weird
"Nothing much, just so bored out of my mind do you know anything we could do?"
"Hmm, We could put whipped cream all over Rian and Zack's car?"
"Nuh-uh not if we wanna get our asses whipped." I said, those two love their cars as much as they love their Moms
"I'm not a prank genius ya know?" Jack said
"Yes I am well aware,OH! Is your cousin whatshername still there?"
"Danielle yeah, why? Whatcha got planned?" Jack said
"I wanna put powder in her blow dryer." HEHEHE
"Fo Sho!! But hurry up she hasn't taken a shower yet" Jack said
"Ok give me 10 minutes." I said then hung up

After I took a 3 minute shower I went back to my room to dress up, just as I buttoned my jeans my phone rang.

"Yellow." I said into the receiver, I forgot to check the Caller ID dang it
"Alex?" Oh It was just Maria
"Yup, the one and only, whats up?"
"Uh, could you meet me at the park in 5?" She said, might as well Jack can just video tape the Powder-in-blow-dryer incident
"Sure." I said then she hung up

"Yo Jack, just video tape the prank" I said
"What, why?!" Jack said sounding a lot disspointed
"Maria called she wants to meet me at the park." I said as I walked out the front door and went to my car
"Ohhh, Okayyy" You could practically hear him winking and nudging
"Yeah, I'll call you later bye" I said as I hung up

When I got to the park i saw Maria sitting by the swings, she was wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans, and her black curly hair was in a headband

"Hey, what'd you wanna meet for?" I said as I sat down in the swing next to her
"Umm, Nothing I just needed to talk to someone..." She said while looking down at the sand and playing with it with her foot
"Okay, what's on your mind?" I asked her she wasn't normally like this she's always the same old happy,hyper Maria.
"My Mom just got out of the hospital 2 days ago.:
"That's good." I said
"Yeah, but the bills are..ya know..." She said while looking at me
"Ohh..so whats the problem?"
"I had to get a job.."
"Mar, everybody has to get a job someday" I said, she muttered something incoherent "Speak up, you know I'm deaf" I said sarcastically
"I'm...."
"Yes?" I pried
"I-I'm....A.-a" She stuttered
"OH, SPIT IT OUT!"
"I'mastripper!" She yelled at me so fast it took me 12 seconds to understand what she said
"Woah..." I said kinda shocked she was a really smart girl and she was a stripper?
"Your not gonna tell anyone else will you?, Oh God...You probably think I'm a whore now, I shouldn't have told you." She said while standing up,
"Maria, I won't tell anyone and I don't think that..Your my friend, why would I think your a whore for being a stripper so you can pay the bills?" I said
"Thanks, Alex...your the best." She said while hugging me "Now I've got to tell the 'Rents, talk to you later Gayskarth" She said while walking away

I pulled out my phone and called Jack
"Dude, you won't believe what happend." I could tell Jack because even though he's a 5 year old he can keep a secret
"Woooo!, someone got some!" He said
"No you IDIOT, I'll tell you when I get there." I said while walking towards my car "Hey, did Danielle take a shower yet?"
"Nope, not yet she's still watching T.V..." He replied
"'Kay, good I'm on my way."
