Let's Get Reckless.

Singing in the Rain

I sat on the Joe’s couch, the one is his new place; the one he decided to surprise me with by telling me about it last week. It was sort of weird coming to see him and not getting a family experience. I missed Nick’s smart remarks, Frankie’s awesome hugs, and Denise’s cooking.

But this place was like our own, as Joe had put it. And when I thought about it, I saw his point. Garbo was his roommate but he was barely here, which left the two of us to ourselves. We’d given me a key the first day here and I’d been extremely happy about it.

It made us like a real couple, not that we weren’t already. It was a step up; me coming into his house and kissing him after a day in the studio. It was amazing is what it was.

It was currently 2:25 and had been freezing cold for no reason. No rain, but dark clouds. To be honest, it was making me mad. If the weatherman promised rain I’d better sure as hell get some rain.

“You hungry, Baby?” Joe surprised me, pressing his lips to the back of my neck as he mumbled. 2:25 and he’d just woken up. Joe Jonas these days.

“You should’ve been up this morning,” I tilted my head up so his face was hovering right above mine. “I wanted some chocolate chip pancakes.”

“You should’ve woke me up.”

“I tried.” I told him in an exasperated tone. “You refused; that is, when you actually acknowledged me.”

He tried not to laugh, instead smiling. His lips touched to mine. “Love you.”

“Yeah, yeah.” I pushed his face away. “Show me with some yummy food you just loveto make justfor me because you love me more than anything this world can offer.” I said with a smile.

“It’s all I live for.” He kissed me once more before standing straight and opening his arms up for me. Standing up on the couch, I wrapped my arms around his neck and he hooked his arms around the backs of my knees, picking me up. We kissed as he walked us into the kitchen, sitting me on the counter. With one last kiss, my arms came down and rested in my lap as he shot me a smile before beginning to cook.

“Why were you staring out of the window like that?” He chuckled, getting out some seasonings. I watched as he pulled out avocado and smiled; fish tacos.

“Rain.” I said simply, swinging my feet.

“Rain?” He questioned, smiling at me over his shoulder.

“Yes. It’s bound to happen soon and I’m waiting for it. I love rain.”

“Really? You don’t care about your hair?”

“Yeah right. If either of us is touchy about their hair it’s you; even if you did chop it off.”

“Whatever, Prima Donna” He retorted.

“Whatever Steven Tyler.”

“Ouch; that hurt. My hair would never look that bad. And Steven Tyler is hideous.”

“Or so you think. And don’t say that, I used to think he was cute.”

“Gross. He looks like an anorexic female ape.”

“Maybe I dig that.”

“Then me and you can notwork out; it’s just too much for me.” He pushed away, walking back to the stove. I giggled, sticking out my foot to poke his butt.

“Stop it, Pervert” He smacked my foot, making me laugh some more. I did it harder, making him grab my foot.

“You sure you wanna start a fight?” He asked with a raised eyebrow. I jutted my chin out defiantly and that’s what did it. Next thing I know, Joe had picked me up and was bringing me into the living room. He tossed me onto the couch before jumping on top of me. I grunted, laughing nonetheless. I didn’t waste any time in using my arms to throw him off of me and onto the floor.

I let out a shout as I jumped on his body as he lay surprised on the ground. We tussled and rolled all over the place, having fun acting childish.

It was when his hands held my wrists at my side while he was on top of me, making growling noises into my neck, tickling me, that I noticed it was raining.

“Ackk! Joe” I laughed. Struggling to shrink away from him. “Joe! Get off!”

“Why?” He asked, tickling my neck still.

“I-it’s raining! Hurry and get off!” He finally relented to look out the window. I pushed him off and raced out the door laughing.

The ground was cold to my feet, but I ignored it. I skipped all the way into the driveway.

“Reina you don’t even have anything on! It’s cold out here!” I heard Joe call.

True. All I had was a pair of boyfriend boxers from AE and his Third Eye Blind t-shirt, which were currently getting soaked. I just giggled, waving my hands for him to come out with me. He stood on the porch watching with an amused smile as I danced around in the street singing ‘Fly With Me’.

“You’re cute, you know that?” Joe asked once he got to me, smirking. I just simply, taking his hands in mine and spinning us around.

“If it’s you and me forever, if it’s you and me right now” I sang, spinning us.

“That’ll be alright” He sang back. I felt warmer with him here with me. The cold didn’t matter as we continued to sing and dance with each other. As we finished the song, I stopped and stared at Joe with admiration. His hair was curly and wet, sticking to his head in some places and drops of rain dripped from his face. I touched his cheek softly, just admiring him. He was beautiful like this, to be honest.

When my fingers touched to his hair, he smiled. “You know you’re sort of beautiful.”

His smile only widened when I spoke. He grabbed my hand and kissed it. “I could say the same about you, only there’s no doubt about it. You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen; ever had the chance to love like no one else has.”

I blushed, looking down. I felt his hand under my chin, raising it so I could look into his eyes, more brown than hazel. I couldn’t help but get butterflies every time he’d say something sweet, he always knew what to say to make a moment special.

Without a word, he pressed his lips to mine setting me in perfect bliss. I let both my hands go to the back of his neck where his hair curled, pulling him closer.

When I felt Joe’s tongue trace my lip I didn’t hesitate to open my mouth. I’d spend forever kissing him if it was allowed. The feeling I got was like a high nothing else could ever give me.

When we ran out of breath, our lips broke apart, each of us smiling.

“I say we spend the rest of the day, snuggled up n my bed, watching our favorite movies.” Joe proposed, kissing me once more.

“I say that sounds like a plan.” I copied his action and kissed him again.

Uh. So I'm in the process of wanting to change my profile. Problem? I have no picture editing skills. I want Nick to be the banner and I suck at editing so if I did redo the page, I would never be satisfied.
-Ha, that completely NOT your problem.

Well let me stop talking. Comment please?.
