Awinita

Awinita, an Algonquin girl, has lived with a pack of wolves since they found her, half dead and starving, floating in a little stream in a sealed reed basket. Born into the Algonquin tribe in about the 1200s, her mother died giving birth to her. Believing that she was voodoo, her father snuck her away in the dead of night instead of letting the Spirit Man kill her. Doing this, he fated her to live among the wolves ... as wild and vicious as the pack was ... and, fourteen years later, an Algonquin boy vows to find her, risking separation from the tribe himself to find the wild girl.
