Boarding school will never be boring

Winter begins to fall.

As I trudged across campus, the temperature was dropping. The rain falling from the sky was cold and hit my nose. I pulled my scarf closer to my neck and pushed open the library door.

I headed up the stairs and smiled when I saw Brandon hunched over a book. I went up behind him covering his eyes. My touch caused him to jump and I smiled and kissed his cheek.

He pulled my hands down and I moved around his seat. Leaning down to kiss him, he smiled.

“Hey beautiful,” I sat down on the chair next to him and pulled my coat off.

“Hey yourself handsome.”

“Have I told you I loved you today?” I shook my head smiling. I took his hand and intertwined our fingers.

“I love you too Bran.”

“Will you be my date for the party next week?”

“But of course.” A big grin pushed its way onto my face and I couldn’t help but feel the happiness swell in my heart.

I pulled out my history book and flipped open to the marked page. The book was instantly taken away and I looked up to see Brandon grinning down at me.

“It’s snowing.” I smiled and threw my scarf, and coat back on so we could go out. Grabbing my hand, Brandon pulled me to the quad. He dropped our bags onto the ground and pulled my waist.

I laughed and pushed my lips to his. He licked my bottom lip and I felt his tongue sliding across my own. My hands slid up his coat and rested on his neck. My cold hands sent shivers down his spine, making me smile. My smile affected a smile to break across his lips.

A zap of electricity shot down my body, and straight to my veins. His hands slipped to my waist once more bringing my body against his.

“I love you Brandon.”

After dropping off Elaina, I headed back to my own dorm. The snow had begun to stick, and my clothes were growing wet with each snowflake that had fallen.

“Hey mate,” Alex said swiveling down on his chair when I opened the door.

“Hey, did you ask Cara yet?”

“Nope, but I will. I already figured what I want to buy her for Christmas.” He turned and looked at me full on now. “Why are you wet?”

“The snow,” He lifted an eyebrow. “I took a walk with El, you know…to be romantic.” He broke out in a smile and nodded.

“Well, I’m sure it prevailed.” I nodded in agreement and began to shed my wet clothes, and change into some dry ones.

“Did you figure out what you’re getting El?”

I shook my head no and sighed. “She’s so easy going, but I can’t figure it out.” Alex looked up and scratched his chin.

“Call and ask her mum, she’ll give you ideas.”

“El would freak, I can’t call her mum.” He shrugged and ran a hand through his hair.

“Just a suggestion.”

“I got it,” I said as I turned my laptop on and booting it up.

“I need to figure out what to get Brandon,” I said as I plopped on my bed. “And this year is has to be extra special because we’re together.” I looked over at Cara and she smiled.

“Well, I have an idea.” I sat up and my eyes began to grow in size.

“I’m all ears,” she smiled and sat down across from me.

“Well remember how we were fifteen and all he would do is play that guitar?” I nodded and smiled. He once wrote me a song, I made him write down the lyrics and sign the paper. To this day I kept the simple piece of paper. “Well Alex told me the guitar got sold. So! I told him not to buy Brandon one because I was going to give you the idea.” A huge smile took over my features and I jumped up.

Squeezing her until she hit me I jumped.

“Thank you so much, that is the best idea ever.”

“Just doing my job, now help me with Alex’s present.”
