Boarding school will never be boring

Hear the bells?

The morning that we were departed had finally arrived. I made sure Brandon’s present was at home, safely hidden. I took a shower and made sure I had everything for our two and a half week stay was in my bag.

A knock on the door interrupted my train of thought, opening the door left a smile upon my face.

Brandon’s arms wrapped themselves around my hips and he lifted me off the ground. We hadn’t seen each other the night before, they had a boys night playing cards.

“I missed you,” I said as he put me down on the ground.

“I missed you too. But I am here now.”

“That you are, and just in time to help carry luggage!” I added brightly. He rolled his eyes but smiled at me. “Well I need someone strong to carry it for me.” I said as I rubbed my hand down his arm.

He grinned and kissed me softly.

“You two being in love,” Cara said smiling. I blushed and turned to finish throwing some small things into my bag.

“Alex said he’d be here soon to help with your bags.” Brandon said as Cara nodded and threw more clothes into her bags.

“Are you reading to go love?” I nodded and waved to Cara as we headed down to load the van. I wrapped my arms around him after he placed both of our bags into the bag.

He smiled at me before leaning down and kissing me. I smiled against his lips and put my hands on his neck. His hands slid from my arms to my sides and down till they rested on my hips.

After having a lack of air I moved my head, he kissed my temple softly. Hugging me close to his body, I closed my eyes and smiled.

“Can’t you come in for a little bit?” I asked as Brandon unloaded my luggage from the back.

“Love, you know I have to go home.” I sighed and nodded. I went to head inside and he grabbed my hips bringing me to his body.

I turned around and brought my eyes to his level. “I’ll come back tonight.” I nodded and leaned up to kiss him while he bent down.

“Love you Bran,” He kissed my hand and let me walk inside.

“Our little girl is home!” I smiled as my mother ran from the corner and squeezed me.

“Okay, Hun, let her go. You’re killing her.” I laughed at my dad’s words and hugged him once my mom let go of her hold on me.

Taking my bags, I slowly walked up the stairs. The halls weren’t filled with girlish screams, music filtering out from under wooden doors, and boards leaving silly messages placed upon those doors.

I pushed open my door and smiled. Nothing was touched since the last time I was there. Everything was perfect.

Falling back upon my bed, I let my heavy lids fall and put me into a slumber.

With the present fully wrapped, I counted down the minutes. I knew I would see Brandon at dinner tonight, but I had to hear his fingers stroke the guitar strings.

I’ve been dying to hear him play a sweet melody. As midnight grew nearer, the anticipation increased.

As the grandfather clock below announced midnight I smiled. Pushing open my balcony doors I looked around. Brandon suddenly appeared on the side and climbed the rest of the tree. Swinging his leg over the rail effortlessly made me smile.

“Happy Christmas,” he whispered before leaning down to kiss me.

“Happy Christmas to you too.” I pulled him inside, closed the doors, and pushed him onto my bed. “Wait here for a second.” He nodded as I went towards my closet.

“What is that?”

“Your gift, I know I’m supposed to wait, but I can’t! Please open it.”

He sighed but smiled. He tore the paper off and his mouth fell open. “Are you kidding me right now? How did you know?” He stood up and pulled me to his body. I smiled as his arms wrapped around my body.

“Alex,” he laughed and kissed the top of my head.

“You’re the best. Thank you so much.” His lips found mine give me the sweetest kiss we have ever shared.

“Play something for me?”

“Course.”

As his words sunk in my mind, my eyes grew heavy, and sleep overtook me.
