Drowning Eyes
Prologue
“Mamajah get yo ass ova here!?” my mother yelled
“I’m coming ma” I said
“I asked you for an ice cold cup of water” she said holding up the cup of ice cold water I gave her
“That’s what I gave you” I answered
“You know damn well every time I ask for ice cold water I get four cubes”
“Ma there was only three left”
“Well if you knew it was only three left why the hell didn’t you refill it?”
“I’m sorry ma I didn’t think it was a big deal do you have to get four cubes?” I asked what a dumb question that was
“That’s what I wanted like my momma always said to me you do or die!” She said swinging the belt and gave me a latch on the face
