You Are the One that I Want

Walking there was pure silence. You finally remembered that Tre's the guy that lives next door that Paige was talking about earlier. Gees, what's the big deal with him? Is he gay? I like gay guys; they're fun to hangout with, you smiled to yourself.

You arrived at Gilmans and sat yourselves at a booth close to the stage with a huge crowd of people.

You watched a few bands go up, they were okay, not the best. Then a black haired boy with a nose ring and a guitar with the letters 'BJ' on it went to the microphone and said, "Hey, my name's Billie Joe, and this is my band Green Day!"

Two other guys came out. One who was holding a bass, he was blond haired, and he was tall and skinny. The other guy jumped right to the drum set. He had green hair, blue eyes, and he was full of energy.

They were all really hot. You couldn't keep your eyes off the drummer; he kept making weird faces while he was playing. He kept making you laugh; it was so funny how much energy he had.

They must have played 5 songs. Billie Joe, who's the front man said that they played songs called: Welcome To Paradise, Dry Ice, Basket Case, Longview, and a song called 409 In Your Coffee Maker.

When Green Day finished, Tess, Paige and you went outside of Gilmans, since Paige and Tess wanted a smoke. You three just kept talking about what there was to do in Oakland.

After a bit of laughing, you noticed the drummer from Green Day come outside. "GREEN DAY'S VERY OWN, TRE COOL!" Paige screamed at the top of her lungs, almost deafening you.

The drummer of Green Day, A.K.A. Tre Cool, turned to face the three of you; he bowed and blew kisses at you all. You laughed; you've never seen anyone so proud of themselves.

Tre walked straight up to you with a big smile on his face. It was an odd first impression, but he was cute.

"Hey Tre, this is Tabitha; she moved in with us today. Tabitha this is Tre; he lives next door," Tess said while noticing the smiles on Tre and your faces.

He took your hand and started shaking it. You had the dorkiest smile on your face, but then again, so did Tre.

You couldn't stop looking into his eyes; they were so beautiful. You've never seen eyes so blue.

He stopped shaking your hand and took it out of yours, but you couldn't stop staring at him and smiling.

"You were really good on stage. I really enjoyed the performance you guys put on," you said, trying to break the silence between the two of you.

"Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. You should come to my house sometime and watch the band play there; we look really hot playing together," Tre said, smiling flirtatiously while moving his eyebrows up and down.

You couldn't help but laugh.

Billie Joe and the other guy came outside and walked up to Tre who was still staring at you smiling.

"Tre, we need your help putting the guitars and amps into my car," Billie Joe said, slightly out of breath.

Tre turned to face them and wrapped his arm around your shoulders, "Tabitha, these are my best friends, Billie Joe and Mike."

You blushed once you felt his arm relax onto your shoulders.

"Hey," Mike and Billie Joe said in unison.

"Hi," you said kind of shyly.

"I told Tabitha that she could come watch the band practice sometime. That's alright with you guys, right?" Tre asked the guys while smiling at you.

"Sure. You can show her all your drumming techniques, Tre." Mike smirked.

"Yes, I am the king of the drums," Tre said while fixing the collar on his shirt with pride. You couldn't help but laugh at his cockiness.

"That's Tre's way of telling you that he's good with his hands," Billie Joe remarked, glancing back and forth at you and Tre.

You blushed even more and looked down at your converse.

Tre tried to break the awkwardness, "After practices, we can all hangout or watch a movie?"

You looked back up at Tre, seeing a smile go on his face, "I'd enjoy that," you said with a smile on your face while looking at him.

Tre's smile got bigger and he let his arm fall to your waist. You couldn't stop staring in his eyes; you have never seen eyes like his.

"Great! So I guess we'll see you again, Tabitha. It was nice meeting you," Mike said before leaving with Billie Joe.

Tre turned to you and took your hand, "It was lovely meeting you, Gorgeous Tabitha." He bent over and kissed your hand, still staring into your eyes.

"It was a pleasure, Mr. Cool," you laughed.

The three of you walked home without talking, but Tess and Paige kept glancing at you and smiling; it was kind of annoying, but you didn't really care.

I think I might like it in Oakland after all.
