Eloquence

Haircut.

The odd, slightly familiar scent hung thickly in the air, making Jordan wonder where it was that she had smelled it before. It was a strange odor, vaguely reminding her of the scent of burning leaves or wet grass. She glanced around the room, setting her worn, leather messenger bag on the dusty, hardwood floor. She spotted Andrew, sitting on the floor directly across from her, leaning against the dingy, floor-to-ceiling windows. He wore a lazy smile on his face, and his usual Ray Ban style glasses rested on the bridge of his nose. Between his finger was what looked to be half a cigarette, though it looked almost as if he had rolled it by hand.

"Good, you made it." He said, the corner of his mouth twitching upwards into a lopsided grin. Jordan nodded slowly, unzipping her leather jacket and adjusting the shirt she wore underneath. Andrew gestured for her to come closer, patting his lap. Skeptically, Jordan inched her way over, for the scent grew stronger as she moved closer to him. Just as he had requested, she lowered herself onto his lap, so that her knees were on either sides of his legs. He put the odd cigarette between his lips, freeing his hands so that he could place them both on her hips. "You cut your hair."

Jordan nodded her head, reaching up to touch her bone-straight, now-shoulder length hair. "Casey did it. Does it look okay?"

Andrew took in her entire appearance, from her much darker eye make-up, to her rose-tinted lips, to the bangs that were now cut straight across her fore-head, rather than pushed to the side. From her black, over sized, sheer, lace tank top and the white tube bra she wore beneath it, to her shiny leggings and killer stiletto heels. She did not look like a fifteen year old girl, which made it so much easier for him to think about her the way he did. Other girls her age were still being driven to soccer practice in their mom's mini van and still shopped in the juniors section, but everything Jordan wore was straight out of a fashion magazine, it seemed. Her style was much more sophisticated than that of anyone else her age. When he looked at her, he didn't see a fifteen-year-old child, he saw an equal.

"You look so good." He grinned, moving his face closer and rubbing his nose against hers affectionately. Jordan giggled, disregarding how pungent the smell of his breath was, and tangled her fingers in his curly hair. "I want to show you something new, baby."

She moved back, staring at him with an inquisitive glint in her eyes. Her eyes dropped down to the misshapen cigarette in his hand, then moved back up to look at him. He merely grinned, bringing it up to his lips and inhaling deeply. When he pulled it away, he cupped the side of her face with his free hand, bringing her closer to him. Their lips pressed together, and he managed to force her mouth open with his. Rather than feeling his tongue slither into her mouth, like she had expected, an almost sickly sweet smoke slid into her mouth and down her throat instead. She didn't cough because she was used to the feeling, however, she grimaced at the awful taste in her mouth. She pulled away from Andrew, spitting in attempt to rid the taste from her mouth. Andrew just laughed, leaning forward and pressing his mouth to hers again, this time shoving his tongue into her mouth. At first, she resisted, placing her hands firmly on his shoulders, but succumbed to his kiss before she could give him a shove. Even just attempting to resist him was pointless.

He nibbled on her bottom lip and they both smiled, pulling away from one another slowly. Andrew reached up, his fingers tips tracing the contours of her face, the pads of his thumbs brushing softly over the smooth skin of her lips. Jordan watched as he moved away, reaching for the cigarette and looking back at her with a playful grin.

"This-" He said, holding it up to her, moving his free hand to cradle the back of her head gently again. "Will make you feel so good."

Jordan woke up to the feeling of light kisses being pressed to the side of her neck and bare shoulder. She stirred, snuggling her face against the muscular arm she had been using as a pillow that night. She felt the soft pair of lips smiling against the crook of her neck, and the tip of a nose brush against her skin.

"You awake?" He asked softly, his hot breath ghosting over her shoulder blade.

"Mhm." She murmured tiredly, feeling a dull ache in her head.

She felt his arms wrap around her from behind, his fingers moving over her bare stomach. Jordan's brow furrowed, and she was suddenly aware of the fact that she was partially naked beneath the ratty, wool blanket that was draped over the two of them. She turned her body so that she was facing Andrew, pulling the blanket over her shoulders. He smiled softly at her, brushing her bangs away from her hair away from her face.

"Why aren't I wearing clothes?" She demanded, narrowing her eyes at him. "Please tell me we didn't-"

"Relax, babe." He laughed, raising his eyebrows at her. "You took off your shirt and jeans before we went to sleep. I offered you my shirt to sleep in, but you didn't want it."

Jordan's cheeks flushed at the thought of her doing such a thing. She couldn't remember last night at all. "Well, then where are your clothes?"

"Well, I thought that it was only fair that if you got to be half-naked, I did too." He grinned, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Don't worry, Jordan. We didn't do anything."

"Promise?" She asked, resting her head on his arm again.

"Promise." He smiled, slowly pushing the blanket away from her body. "I mean, you said you weren't ready for anything like that, right? I'd never do that to you."

Jordan's heath swelled in her chest, sending warmth throughout her entire body, and she had to bite her lip to refrain from squealing in delight. Andrew's hand found Jordan's waist, touching the skin gently as he leaned in to kiss her very softly.

Jordan pulled away abruptly, and Andrew stared back at her in confusion. "What time is it?" She said quickly, sitting up.

Andrew reached for his phone, flipping it open and checking the time. "Eleven AM."

"Fuck." She shrieked, rising up off the floor. She neglected the headache that pounded at her temples as she stood, racing around and collecting all of her articles of clothing. She pulled them on, walking over to the broken mirror in the far corner of the room and fixing her hair. She pulled on her ridiculous heels, grabbing her coat from it's place beside their make-shift bed, and rushed towards the door.

"Goodbye?" Andrew said dryly.

Jordan stopped by the door, turning around and looking at Andrew. He now was sitting up, with the blanket bunched at his waist, exposing his naked chest. She sprinted toward him, dropping to her knees so that she was straddling his lap and crashed her lips upon his. Her arms cupped his head, and her lips moved quickly against his. Andrew moaned as she nibbled his bottom lip, giving her backside a playful squeeze. He pulled back, grinning cheekily. "Go on. You're late."

Jordan grinned, kissing him quickly one last time before sprinting out the door.
