Graduation day

It was over. everything was over

I watched Nick walk across the stage. Mr.Peterson handing him his diploma and everyone congradulated him as he walked off the stage

Finally the graduation was over

Nick picked me up and kissed me

"ahh I'm finally done with this place" he told me

"yeah... congratulations.." I said smiling

"thank you.." he said and he kissed my head

Nick parents came over and started hugging and kissing him

"Mom. Dad" Nick whined "Not in front of my girlfriend" he pulled away from them and wiped a kiss off his cheek

"Congratulations Nicholas.." his parents said

Joe and Kevin gave Nick a quick hug and congradulated him then my family did the same.

"How about we all go out for dinner" Nicks mom suggested

"sounds like a great idea" my mom said

we went to Red Robin

Nick kept staring at me

"What?" I asked

"Nothing.." he told me but he continued to stare

I felt my cheeks flush..

"You're cute when you blush.." he told me which made me blush even more!

He softly laughed

we all finished and we decided that all of us would hang at Nicks place for a little bit

we pulled up to his house there was a car sitting in the driveway

"Mom.. why is there some car sitting in our.-" hr begsn

"... its yours.." she told him

"NO WAY!" he yelled and began to examine the car

"...For graduation.. we thought you might want a car since you're sure you are going to Colorado" His dad said

I looked at Nick.. he was leaving? He never told me. His dad tossed him the keys

Everyone went inside except me and Nick

He was fasinated with his new car...

then he looked at me

"Cool isn't it?" he said..

"yeah.. very cool" I said

"I guess I'm driving to Colorado" He said..

"So.. when were you going to tell me?" I asked

He stopped looking at the car and looked at me

"... I was going to tell you.. later tonight" he said slowly

"..right.. you wouldn't have said anything if you're dad didnt" I said

"... maybe I wouldn't have... but thats just because I didn't want you to know.. I know you hate this.." He said.

"... yeah.. I do I'm just going to go home ok?" I said.

"D... but.. why?"

"I want to.."

"Can I drive you then?"

".... I guess"

we were in front of my house and he tried to kiss me but I turned my head and he just looked at me. I kissed him on the cheek and got out.

a week later

"Nick.. aren't you supposed to be packing??" my dad asked

"I'm not going anymore" I said

"and why not?"

"Because D won't talk to me and I am not leaving with her mad at me"

"Nick.. just please go finish packing" My dad told me

"..dad no.. Im not going..." I replied

"Son.. you are"

I groaned and went upstairs to finish packing

I would leave in one week.

Boy did that week come fast.

"...I'm going to miss you Nick" my mom was bawling

I hugged her " I'm gonna miss you too" I said and I hugged my dad next

"Gonna miss you little bro..." Kevin hugged me

"You're coming back to visit right?" Joe asked me

"Soon enough..." I said while he hugged me.

"Alright I really gotta go.."I said "I love you all... I will call when I get there"

We finished saying our goodbyes and I got in my car and left.

Not to Colorado. to D's house.

I knocked on the door

she opened it

"hi.." I said

"hey..." she said softly. she knew why I was here. I hugged her

".... I'm going to miss you so much D..." I told her.

She was crying in my arms.

"I'm going to miss you too Nick" I kissed her head

" I love you so much" I told her " but.. I don't think this will..."

".. work out" she finished for me

"yeah..."

"neither do I." she said

All those words dissapointed me. I hated this

"... one last kiss before I go?" I asked. she looked at me and pressed her lips to mine. It was a deep passionate kiss.I was holding onto her hand

"... I better go" I whispered

"... yeah..." I let her hand go and turned and started walking toward my car.

"Nick.." I turned to look at her

"I don't want you to go." she said to me. I swallowed hard. and gave her a last hug and kiss

"I love you.."

"I love you too"

I got in the car and headed to colorado. Single.
