"Hi Mom," you smiled at your mother who was standing in the hallways, waiting for you to get home.

She didn't look too pleased.

"You know what time it is?" she asked, tapping on her watch.

"Actually, no."

"It's 12:30am," she said.

You look down at your converse, fearing to meet her eyes.

"Where were you?"

I was at a party and met this guy who drove me home. Yea, I know I shouldn't take rides from guys I just met, but he flipped me over his shoulder and made me.

"I was out at a party," you told her.

"You're suppose to be home at midnight."

"I know. I'm sorry."

"Who drove you home?"

"Oh, just a guy," you looked back down.

"A guy?" she looked at you surprised, "What happened to Jamie?"

Oh yea... him. What if I was starting to fall for a stranger?

"It was Jamie," you lied.

"But Jamie just called, wanting to talk to you."

Shit!

"Well... um..." you felt cornered by your mother, "Jamie was at the party, but after awhile we got separated. So I guess he called here to see if I was home."

"... all right," she sighed. You could tell that she didn't believe you. "Natasha's called a few times. She wants you to call her back."

You nodded and ran upstairs to your room.

You walked in and locked the door. You walked over to your bed and laid on it.

After thinking about Tre and Jamie for awhile, you decided to call Natasha.

You grabbed the phone off your table and dialed her number.

"Where the fuck have you been?" she yelled into the receiver.

"Holy crap! How did you know it was me?" you asked.

"It's always you," she laughed, "So where were you all night?"

"I was at the bar."

"Still?"

"Yeah," you let out a small laugh.

"What happened there?"

"Um... well..." you didn't know if you should have told her.

"Oh. My. God." she said slowly. "You met a guy?"

"Yea," you smiled.

Natasha started screaming random things in the phone; you couldn't understand what she was screaming.

"What's his name?" she asked excitedly.

"Tre," you smiled more.

"What does he do?"

"He's in a band called Green Day, I believe," you told her.

Natasha didn't speak - you couldn't even hear her breath.

"Natasha?"

"Tre Cool?" she asked shocked; "Tre Cool?" she said more excited; "Tre fucking Cool?" she said in disbelief.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" you yelled into the receiver.

"Do you have any idea who Tre Cool is?" she asked.

The guy who just drove me home?

You thought about it, "Um..."

"Tre Cool is the drummer of Green Day."

"Yeah, he told me..." I said bluntly

"Green Day is a fucking awesome band."

"Really? I've never heard of them," you told her.

She stayed silent for a second.

"How. Do. You. Not. Know. Who. Green Day. Is?" she asked slowly.

"Uh... I..."

"They are fucking awesome!" she yelled. "I have their Cd's."

"Cool."

"Cool? It's more than just cool," she explained. "How are you so lucky?"

"I'm not very lucky," you sighed.

"Are you on drugs? You just bonded with Tre Cool, and you say that you're not very lucky."

"Well, Tre asked for my number an-"

"YOU GAVE HIM YOUR NUMBER?!" She screamed.

"Natasha, shut up for a second!" you yelled at her.

"Fine," she mumbled.

"I think I might... just... like him..."

Silence came over when you told her that, "and I think he likes me too."

"Nikki?" Natasha sighed, "Are you not happy or something?"

She caught you off guard with her question.

"What are you taking about?"

"You met Tre Cool - the Tre Cool, and you don't like the fact that you might just like him."

"What about Jamie?" you asked.

"Screw Jamie!" she yelled, "Jamie is a fucking asshole. He doesn't even love you."

You sighed. "I know..."

"Go out with Tre," she encouraged you.

"But I love Jamie," you sighed.

"But Tre might love you," she sighed like you.

"Natasha, I just met Tre though," I said bluntly.

"So?" she laughs, "Any thing's better than Jamie."

"I guess..."

"Just do yourself a favor and go out with Tre."

You took your time to think as a pause went between the two of you.

"I think I might just do that," you smiled weakly.

"Great!" she sighed happily. "You gave him your number, right?"

"Yea."

"Then why are you still on the phone with me?" she yelled. "He could be calling right now and you don't even know it."

"Natasha, it's 1:00am; I highly doubt he's going to call now."

"But he might!" she said.

You heard nothing on the phone. Did she just hang up?

"Hello?" you asked.

No response.

"Natasha?"

Beep! Beep! Beep!

You hung up the phone and went to bed.
