Sleepless Nights Don't Get Much Better

It wasn’t so much a bite, more a playful nip, but you have to understand things with Alec, never ever ever stay playful! Especially when he’s in a mood like this. This was it, so much for what’s a day when you have forever. I was going to die, just like I should have when my parents crashed the damn car. I waited for the pain and instead of feeling pain I heard a crash and shot up, only to see that Emmett had sent Alec through the sliding glass door, and was bolting after him.

Rose screamed for the two to stop, either listened and continued to take swipes at each other. Each shouting swears and becoming angrier. I stood shocked I was still here. In a flash Rose was in the middle trying to separate the two angry vampires. Alex took a swipe at Rose and I lost it. Who the hell, takes a swipe at a girl who is only trying to stop two people ripping each other apart. My temper rose like a thermometer in a cup of fresh tea.

The ceiling turned a dark grey colour, and black cloud's formed inside the house, I could taste the air go moist, but I did not care, no one, and I mean no one, hurt's my family, I could not care how powerful they think they are, I could even feel the clouds begin to spin, and I said in my head move our family, Edward must have heard, because as the cloud's formed into a funnel, they all left, Jane's face seemed frozen, pieces of furniture flew about the room, and the wall's gave in crashing into the vampire's who where trying to hurt me and my family, I heard Jane scream as Lightning flashed through the room, but I heard something else, a male scream.

A human scream. I had forgot about Lix.

Edward forgot to take Alex away. I turned to see him in Aro’s grip.

“YOU LET GO OF HIM!” I screamed at the red eyed monster

“Now now little one, let’s think clearly about this, I can leave him alive and a vampire or I can have diner now.” he smirked unphased by the huge storm.

“LEAVE HIM BE!” I screamed the rain getting heavier and winds howling louder.

I didn’t see it coming and by the look on Alice’s face neither did she. Aro smirked and dropped Alex to the floor. He lay there limp and lifeless against Aro’s legs. I looked to find Jane and Alec to see they had left. The clouds started to pale, but Aro was still here.

“You should leave!” I growled

He chuckled and turned, not before kicking Alex and then breaking into a steady sprint.

“He’s going through the change.” Carlisle confirmed quietly.

Aro, the creep had bitten him!

“Well can we make him more comfortable, like give him morphine or something?” I asked totally clueless about the events taking place. All I knew is that it would hurt like hell, and you couldn’t stop it no matter how much you wanted to.

“I think, you should take a walk, take Nessie, clear your head and we’ll call you when Alex wakes up.” Alice grinned looking pleased at what she had seen.

“Come on Ness, you and your visions.” I sighed holding my hand out to the girl who was much older than her years.

“Aunt Em, I’m too old for that now.” She whined

“You’re always going to be a little girl to me.” I grinned

I took the little girl outside and we walked down to the back of the forest out to the clearing. The sun was peaking out through the now pale grey clouds. I really needed Carlisle to check me for Bi-Polar, these mood swings were ridiculous. I sat down in the middle of the clearing and let the warm sun hit my cold face. I could no longer feel the sun on my face properly, but that didn’t mean I couldn’t enjoy it.

“Aunt Emily, why did they start a fight, Aunt Alice promised they wouldn’t.” Nessie questioned me.

“Honestly Ness, I don’t know, I just don’t know, the best thing a girl can be in this life is a fool, a beautiful fool.” I sighed quoting Daisy from the great Gatsby and letting the rest of the evening sink into nothing.
