Shay Avery Lockwood has grown up with 4 brothers and no mother, so it's no surprise that she's turned out as a total tomboy. However, she has a secret that she feels a need to hide from the world--her voice. She has always loved to sing, but with the lack of support from her father and her boyish reputation, she isn't sure how well this will be accepted.

Nicholas Jerry Jonas is living the dream, but sometimes he finds himself thinking that something is missing. In a band with his two crazy older brothers, he often has to step up and be the mature one, which has dubbed him the nickname of "the boring one." He loves music--his voice and his guitars are his life. He just can't escape the feeling that maybe, just maybe, there's more for him out there.
